Glad to finally get a chance with this one.

Golden hue to this beer. Citrus and grapefruit are heaviest on this one, though not in an out of control manner. The hops almost seem to give a mild sweet thing on it too. The bitterness is definitely there, don't get me wrong. But the citrus gives an interesting edge to things. A nice pale ale.

Golden hue, nice white head that dissipated to lacing on pint glass. Faint nose though served in a pint glass & needed a little warmth to perk it up. Grapefruit, light bread & balanced finish with more grapefruit in the finish! What is not to like? Scott ROCKS!

Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass

Appearance – Served a light golden color with a one finger white head. The head faded fast to give a light amount of lacing.

Smell – The aroma was almost non-existent. There was a very light malt aroma and a tiny citrus smell.

Taste – The taste was on the rather mild side. At the start it was entirely of a light malt flavor. Soon flavors of a citrus nature come to the taste. This more lemon hop and orange citrus flavor is soon met with a lighter pine and grassy hop flavor. These take the taste to the end leaving a slightly bitter hop taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The beer had a lower then average body with a higher than average carbonation. Both were good for the more subtle malt and hoppy flavors of the beer.

Overall – Decent, but not really one that stands out in my book. It has a good citrus hop flavor, but could use a bit more of a malt body.

Had this on tap at the Boulevard in Johnstown, PA. Color is a dark orange with a fairly small head. Decent subsequent lacing as the pint poured into my gullet. Nice hop bite that is more rounded than sharp. Malt profile is pronounced but is balanced out. Still, a little on the sweet side for an APA. Very drinkable pale ale.

Deep yellow gold beer with a rich hop oil-supported fluff of head. Laces like a resinous IPA. 4.0

Grapefruit and orange citrus hops with a leafy aroma and a touch of pine. Crackery malts with a light odorous sweetness. 4.0

Mondo fresh hop flavor. Dry citrus and flowery hops with a tightly crisp bitterness. Pale malts hold up okay and there's a tart apple note in the phenols. Pretty damn nice. 4.0

Medium-light body with some big fuzzy carb. Alcohol is settled in where it should be. 3.5

One of the few East End staples that I had yet to try. I won't wait nearly as long before I have it a second time. 4.5
