A single-hopped, single-batch, summer quencher brewed exclusively for BIKEFEST!, Bike Pittsburghs week-plus celebration of all things bicycling. Keep an eye on www.Bike-Pgh.org for more info about the summer brewery ride and more about FreeRide! the guys who made those cool tap handles out of salvaged bike parts. Available in July and August, or as long as it lasts (maybe a little earlier and later next year?)

fresh growler fill today from the brewery, served in a standard pint glass
A - poured with over an inch of frothy cream colored foam, the beer is dark gold in color, crystal clear. leaves behind a thin layer of lacing.
S - very nice bouquet of floral hops, balanced by some crackery and lightly sweet caramel malts.
T - assertively bitter again with a very up front floral hop profile joined by some mild grassyness and light citrus (mostly grapefruit). balanced moderately by some light grains but the hops are in control here. very good.
M - light bodied with subtle dancing carbonation. very slick and oily, coats the mouth and throat.
D - this is great, cant believe i havent sat down and critiqued this before. wonderful hop profile yet balanced and light where it needs to be. a real treat and possibly the new benchmark for APA's as far as I'm concerned.

16 fl oz pull-tab can nabbed at the brewery for me by my friend Zed - thanks, bruv!
Dull hop profile. Obvious minerality. Shallow. Simple.

***
2nd can 11/14/20:
A forgettable pale ale. Sierra Nevada's expression of the style has more hop pungency and depth of flavour, plus it's cheaper.

"An American Pale Ale, crisp and hoppy with light malt sweetness, fruity esters, and very mild bitterness (in spite of being hopped four times)."

Classic gold color, not much of a head. Aroma is light cracker malt, very light floral hops. Taste is fine, pretty standard but nothing is off - just don’t pop. Mild malt biscuit, grassy hop, moderate bitterness on the finish. Run of the mill but fine on a summer day.

Pours gold. Foamy, white, short head that fades fast.
Smells citrus, malt, grassy, floral.
Tastes citrus, lemon, light pale malt and floral hints. Followed by citrus peel and light grassy hints. Medium light body and fizzy medium carbonation.
