2014 22oz bomber poured into a tulip glass:
Look: An amazing dark black with even an amazing dark brown head of about an inch or so. One of the darkest brown heads I have ever seen.
Smell: Notes of bourbon along with chocolate, coffee, and roast/smokey
Taste: Very roasty and chocolatey with small notes of bourbon
Feel: Medium body
Overall: Another solid offering from the East End crew! Wish this had just a bit more of the bourbon coming through to take the solid Black Strap Stout to the next level. Haven't had many of this style to compare this one to. I will revisit this one every year when the new bombers come out.

This was a 2014 bottle that said BBA on the label not sure what type of Bourbon barrel they used but well it didn't leave any hints of taste in the stout. All in all not a bad stout but would have expected a better bourbon taste from the label.

2014 Bottle: Pours way darker than expected for a beer that clocks in at just over 6%. The head is even a deep dark brown! The aroma and taste are both full of char, roast, oak, and molasses. If you told me this was oak aged, and not bourbon...I'd believe you. Not sure if they used wet barrels here? Still, not a bad offering if you like roasty stouts.
