Full on black in color. Forms a moderate sized tan colored head. Decent retention. Some sheeting lacing. Aroma is full of coffee. Roasted malts and chocolate, but very strong coffee. Taste is nice, but not overly impressive. Weak , watery coffee. A light chocolate note. Earthy With some Light woodsy notes. Finishes watery and thin. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Very light bitterness. Maybe even a bit acidic. Coffee acidic.
A drinkable beer. Not the greatest, but better than expected.

A - Thick dark black 1.5 finger of tan color, thick lacing.
S - Nicely roasted coffee beans, light sweet malt, a little smoke.
T - Huge massive coffee flavor, nice earthy hop bite in the middle, a touch of smokey roasted malt and a little nuttiness on the end.
M - Creamy Texture, a little metallic after a while, but its faint.
O - Tons of great coffee flavor in this brew, one of the best Coffee Porters I've had

Served in a wedding snifter.

Oh, trust me, my eyes are wide open... Anyway, this stuff pours a straight onyx topped by a finger of sandstone-khaki foam. The nose comprises molasses, dark coffee, perfume, and a light bit of roasted malts. The taste brings in more of the same, with the coffee really coming through earthily and greenily. The body is a solid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry-ish finish. Overall, a pretty nice coffee porter, nothing amazing but enjoyable enough for what it is.

Picked this up, assuming same beer having open eye on label and says coffee porter! Appears opaque black with light tan head that sticks around. Smells of coffee, roasted malt and a definable hop presence but has a lil alcohol on top. Taste is of coffee roasted malts and the hops smooth it out for a great finishing touch! Mouthfeel is so smooth and creamy went right into 2nd on my porter list! Just had me lapping for flavor for next couple minutes. Scott at east end I applaud you on a very delicate selection in a difficult field!

Black color, light brown head, sporadic lace. Aroma of roasted coffee, dry chocolate, roasted malts, sweetness. Light bitter coffee, roasted notes, chocolate powder, brownie batter. Creamy, near full body, rich.

Good sheet.

Poured a dark brown-black with a small tan head that receded to a collar and left a bit of lacing on the glass. Roasty aroma, coffee and dark malts, and not a whole lot else. More of the same in the taste, ground coffee beans, semi-sweet chocolate, dark malts, some earthiness, and a touch of creamy sweetness. Nice body, medium but robust, about right for the style. A good one overall, and I can be pretty picky when it comes to coffee beers.
