Poured into a pint glass. Here's the lowdown on this brew. Session Ale #41: BlackberRye Ale was so well received that it lasted just a week. EE was going to rebrew that, but fruit shortages prevented this. Thus, we have SA #43: BlueberRye.
4.0 A: Hazy golden color. Two fingers of frothy white head with decent retention and touches of spotty lacing.
3.5 S: Rye earthy spiciness is there. Blueberry is faint, much fainter than the blackberry in #41. Aroma is pleasant, but it's pretty simple and not nearly strong enough.
3.5 T: Taste is much like the nose. Earthy rye spiciness, faint blueberry, and not much else.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy. No problems, but not great either.
3.0 D: It's been a long time since I've had an EE beer that wasn't very good. This isn't very good. It's not bad, but nothing worth seeking out because it's simply too boring. Fruit beers need a ton of fruit to be amazing (a la NG twins) and unfortunately #41 was a lot closer to what I wanted.

A fresh growler shared with friends. A retooling of BlackberRye Ale which was going to be brewed again but with the blackberry season being past by a blueberry version was made to appease the masses.
A-Golden kissed copper with a medium white head that reduces to a thin cap and leaves spotty lacing.
S-Earthy hops and rye spiciness up front with subtle blueberry astringency and sweetness in the background adding support.
T-Rye spiciness, light blueberry and earthy hops---much like the aroma. This is a rather simple but tasty brew.
M-Medium-light body, rather sharp and crisp with good lingering rye spiciness and faint blueberry dryness.
D-I must have liked this more than everyone else present as I think I polished off at least half the growler. I found this to be simple but pleasant and very easy to drink. I did not have the BlackberRye to compare this too so...
