Smells of caro syrup piss

taste is of caro piss and to much corn

Aweful SHIT

Filth Taste

This is why you must seek local brew. Compassionate brew makes for better brew, local mkes it fine!

40oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Date on the bottle says Feb14

A: Clear golden body with whit frothy head. Really good retention and lots of lacing.

S:Smells like corn, nothing out of the ordinary for the style.

T: Tase mostly like corn, come fruity flavors as well.

M: Fuller then most for the style carbonation is good and this goes down easy. Very refreshing.

O: Not a terrible beer, I like it better then a lot of AAL beers, plus it comes in the 40oz format which is convenient. Its also got another ABV point at 5.5 then most AALs.

I've tried pretty much every "ice beer" there is and most are trash that have horrible industrial chemical flavors and after-tastes but IceHouse somehow manages to be tolerable and even enjoyable in modest amounts especially given the low price per the case ($17 in PA.)
I got a case of the bottles to have for watching hockey (Lets go Pens) and just hanging out .
It's no Westvleteren 12 but it's also much much less expensive and much more widely available.
You will get some of that corn/straw-grain taste that is common in cheaper brews but to me, bitter hopped beer is worse tasting . I favor malt sweet-ness anyday over perversely hopped high-IBU beers .

King of the bank account-friendly ice-beers . cheers .

Out of a 32oz bottle into a glass mug.

A- Pale golden yellow. Big fluffy head that leaves lacing. Some bubbles streaming up.

S- Corn, slight alcohol, no hop presence on the nose.

T- Hmmm, at first no taste then *POW* I taste: corn, overcooked grains, fusel alcohol, some sweetness, wine taste. It's on the border of Malt Liquor and Wine...not a good combo. The fusel alcohol hits the throat and stomach like a bad vodka.

M- High carbonation, slick feeling that sticks to your mouth.

O- Overall, this is a rather poor beer. The fusel alcohol is horrendous in this plus the wine taste.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Best by date: 1/13/14. Review date: 12/23/13.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, pale yellow. About 1 finger of a bright white head, with tight, creamy looking bubbles. Recedes to a thinner layer, and actually sticks around quite well. Tons of carbonation bubbles floating up through the glass rapidly. Decent lacing sticks around to the glass.

Smell: Very faint. Light notes of a wet grain aroma. Bit of an artificial sweetener character.

Taste: Cereal grain, upfront. Fades into an almost sugary sweetness. Finishes into a nondescript blandness before finishing with corn flavor and a very light bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Body in the lighter side of medium. Nice creaminess from the head while it persists. Less carbonation feel along the tongue than I would have expected from the appearance. Leaves a slightly sweet, grainy aftertaste.

Overall: A decent AAL option. Ubiquitous and cheap ($6.99 for a 12 pack in my area). Easy to drink but nothing amazing. Could be refreshing on a hot day. Would not highly recommend seeking it out.

Thin head on a brownish gold body which slightly hazy. Aroma of stale honey, grains and tropical fruit. This beer is just awful. It's mostly sweet and barely has any malt or grain flavor making it more like old apple juice than even just a bad beer. Moderate to high carbonation. Basically tried it for the review. I understand not all beers are good but they should at least be drinkable to some extent.

Poured from the bottle into a stoneware stein.

A - Much like Bud Light or Busch Light. Light amber, one-finger head, minimal lacing.

S - Corn, adjuncts, alcohol, grains.

T - Same as above.

M - Fizzy, but not much aftertaste. Good for large quantities when you don't care about taste.

O - Not terrible. Another good one if you're short on cash but wants lots of beer. It is what it is.

Always seen my uncle drink this throughout my life so i had to try it. This is a good beer to drink during the hot summer.

Theres no bad aftertaste and it gets the job done. You get a nice buzz without drinking alot of them. Im not a real big fan of ice beers but this is my favorite one.

The price could go down a lil bit. Its pretty high down here in Indiana. Overall you cant go wrong with an ice cold Icehouse.

Miller Brewing Co.
Style: American Adjunct Lager
ABV: 5.50 %

LOOK: Clear, pale, almost perfectly clear, but with a yellow hint. Soapy head forms and fizzles quickly to nothing.

SMELL: Spent grains, stale hop, corn.

TASTE: Upfront sweet crispness gives way to a very vague almost hidden malt/corn character and a big note of dirty pennies. Metallic, harsh, grainy, low bitterness, twang of stale spent hops, and a well water characteristic that just can't be ignored. Other tasters have commented that this beer must be served ICE cold, and I tend to agree. Great beer does not need to be ICE cold, as it masks the flavor, but here it is an improvement.

FEEL: Light bodied, over carbonated, no finish besides unpleasant metallic and rotten corn notes.

OVERALL: Pretty rough stuff here. Tastes pretty much like a 3% beer that has been iced to death to create a measly few abv degrees. Not alot of flavor, and the flavor there is not tasty and very metallic. There are better "cheap beer" options than this.... just about anything. But don't take my word for it, just read a few reviews. Universally awful and not to be purchased unless you're a glutton for punishment .

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a straw color with a small white head that dissipates quickly and leaves no head. Smells of corn and other malt, that is about it. Tastes of bland malt, that is it, a little taste of alcohol, but nothing too bad, and has some fullness to it. Definitely goes down smooth for a light bodied beer, but carbonation seems a tad heavy. Overall, a below average beer.

I've been drinking Icehouse for years. And i have to say it is my favorite american beer. I love Ice beers and Icehouse was my first love when it comes to brew. I've nothing against other brews, b/c my favorite beer in the WORLD is Murphys Irish Red Ale. i love that stuff.
But Icehouse is one of those beers when you're on a budget that you can have a good time on, its not bad tasting, you can stomach it. Its a great sociable beer when your with friends at the local trailor park.
i love icehouse. Thank god for the plank road brewery.

Appearance - Light golden, clear color, with a stark-white head, which is soapy on the sides and frothy on the top. The head retains very well and leaves lots of nice lacing.

Aroma - Sweetness, and that typical and inviting beer aroma. Some grassy hops, maybe? A little corn. Breadiness.

Taste - Grainy, some white breadiness from the barley, and a little bit of corn. It finishes with some hop bitterness, and a noticeable metallic note, which, while it does not spoil the experience, is not pleasant either. The overall flavor is very bold, very rich, and full.

Finish - Very dry, crisp, and refreshing. Emphasis on the dryness.

Overall - Very, very good. Much more of a bold and flavorful brew than I suspected (it was only $1 for the bottle). The only bone with this beer I have to pick is the very noticeable metallic flavor.

I have only had Icehouse once before, about 8 years ago, from a keg at a Halloween party at the University of Toledo. Obviously I had come to this party armed with some Natty Light...So i really don't remember "tasting" the Icehouse. Anyways I was at Krogers today and noticed a 6pack for $4.29. Thought i might be nostalgic. To be honest....i have had worse. Its for sure got that grainy, corn taste but you could do worse. I can kick back, and drink a 6 of this, get a good buzz and thats bout it. For the price...i recommend it. Goes down pretty smooth. If you can afford better...no need to bother.

This beer is not all that bad, not great by any stretch of the imagination, but if money was an issue and I was looking to buy a 12 pack of something cheap, i wouldn't mind getting this. Or if I went to a friend's house and this was my only option to drink, I would not hold it against my friend. It is a drinkable beer but it does have a little bit of a bitter taste to it.

IceHouse by Miller Brewing Co., 5.5% alcohol ice beer. Poured into a pint glass.

A- Pours a crystal clear urine yellow fluid that caps a one inch head falling to a decent froth leaving ultra light lacing not bad for a AAL.

S- Harsh cereal grains, alcohol, and tangy metallic scents are all there is.

T-M- Taste is raw with the corn adjuncts giving a hell of a bite upfront. As I begin to taste the real beer I note a faint sweet malty tinge with a dead bitter hop note. Metallic corn, cereal grain sweetness, and a mild hop bite is all i get in a meld of mess. Mouthfeel is so so with a slightly high carbonation and water like feel.

O- Good drinking beer for mass quantities but not alway tolarable.

icehouse takes me back to my younger days bar hopping. Icehouse isn't the best beer I've ever had but as far as everyday run of the mill beers go, it aint bad. It has a little more bite than some other beers of the same caliber. The color is clear yellow, there is nothing really great about the smell, and like I said there is just a little extra bite to an otherwise bland flavor. All in all I'll drink an icehouse from time to time. You could do worse.

Six-pack of 12 ounce bottle - $4.79 at the nearby Publix in Canton, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a clear, darkish yellow body with a typical, fizzy, white head. No head retention as it crackles out within seconds.

Smell: Very, very mild nose giving a teensy sniff of vapid maltiness and dehydrated corn kernels.

Taste: Mild maltiness rounded out with hints of corn stalks. Lightly sweet. Faintly sourish, metallic hop character with a low, low bitterness. Goes out on the finish as bland as this ride started.

Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: You get what you pay for, I guess.

Bottle poured into pint glass

Appearance: clear yellow with a nonexistent head.

Smell: Mazie and sweet malt. Some low levels of phenols.

Taste: A thicker body than I expected, but not really in a good way; feels sort of like a false body based on the corn adjunct malt.

Drinkability: I suppose if you want to "get trashed" this beer is a winner, but not really for someone with a discerning taste: basically this beer is for trashy college kids.

This is a good drinking beer. It looks and smells very average has a nice flavor, and drinks well. The higher alchohol content adds to its allure. I would drink it again for sure. It is not watery like most american beers. Wish they carried it at our golf course I would drink more.

Not the worst adjunct beer ever. In fact it is the very first beer that I ever tried. My family are a bunch of mass produced beer drinkers.
Pours a yellow color with a small white head and minimal lacing.
Smells of some sweet corn and some floral notes. Tastes much the same maybe some hop extract in there somewhere. There's not that much going on here. Fairly thin mouthfeel and moderate drinkability.

A kind of dark yellow beer. Aroma is revolting. Wet wood and vomit.

Tough to get down tastewise with something that smells awful. Alcohol is there, not much else, maybe some ample carbonation if you're into that kind of thing. It is kinda heavy for an adjunct lager. Don't look for any hops. At least some beers just taste like water, this tastes like bad water and alcohol. Pass.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Appears a watery, clear, pale yellow color with almost no head, but what is there is thin, white and goes away quickly.

Almost no aroma at all, there is some grains, maybe corn? The taste is quite sweet, but there isn't much going on. Fairly well balanced, and not overly sweet, but not impressive.

The mouthfeel is light and has a good amount of carbonation. This is actually quite drinkable, the taste isn't off-putting, and it doesn't make you want to pour it out. It's light enough and refreshing enough that you can put away quite a few of them.

Better out of the bottle, obviously. Pretty much what you'd expect from an adjunct ice lager. Pale color, not much of a head, not a great smell. However, it's extremely drinkable given its weak taste, and with a high ABV, it's my go to when I'm on a budget.

As a side note... their new labels look pretty cool.
