Perfectly carbonated for that immediate "over full" feeling upon consumption.
Pairs nicely with a brown paper bag, chicken cup-a-noodles cooked at a gas station coffee machine and poor life choices. My personal favorites.

IF IT AIN'T THE HOUSE, YOU'RE WEARIN' A BLOUSE.

Poured from a tallboy into a shaker pint glass. A label on the can states the beer is "ice brewed below freezing". A moderate pour produce about 3/4 inch of white froth that disappears quickly enough but leaves a thin coating of lace that hangs around, slowly thinning out. The beer is a pale straw color with ample carbonation.

Adjuncty, floral hop aroma, but of course very light on the hops- but the floral hops are there and detectable. A definite cooked corn flavor is present, a rather bland presence that lingers into the aftertaste, which is otherwise pretty clean. I also get a bit of a slightly fruity alcohol flavor with some metallic tang. No musty or cardboard flavors. The body is predictably thin and somewhat oily.

For what it is, this isn't half bad, though quite bland overall. There is maybe a bit more hop character than than the average AAL, and it's cheap enough. It's smooth compared to a typical malt liquor, and as strong as the weaker varieties of that style. There are worse beers out there, and though I probably won't seek this out again, I wouldn't refuse one either.

Good ole Icehouse. Due to Oklahoma's silly liquor laws, most BMC beers were brewed at 3.2 abv. Icehouse was not. I drank a lot of Icehouse my sophomore year. I do not remember it fondly.

A: Macro lager golden. Finger of bleached head. Dies immediately. Fairly well carbonated, with large bubbles rising to the surface. No lacing.

S: Corn, millet, metal. Nondescript spiciness (hops?). Some alcohol sweetness present. Not willing to let this one warm. Must consume cold, the name basically demands it.

T: That is pretty bad. Not quite as bad as I remember it, though. Lots of corn and other adjunt flavors. Missing that cornflake component I get in Miller and Bud Light. Fruity sweetness, almost like artificial white grape juice. Grainy corn comes on the finish, along with some metal astringency.

M: Light, crisp. Less carbonated than anticipated. While the bubbles are very present, they lack the overly abrasive seltzer characteristics of many AAL's and Euro Pales.

O: This is nowhere nearly as bad as the 51 Beer Advocate is giving it. While it's not a good or even solid beer, it's better than the BMC's and far better than the Natty and Keystone level beers.

Icehouse is a brew that is brewed by Miller. This brew has an ABV of 5.5. Icehouse pours out dark amber with a white head. I like the color of this brew; it is not to dark but not too light. The taste is bold with flavor, but it is refreshing and smooth. There is nothing bad about this brew. This is one Miller Brew that I really like. I will get this brew again.

This is the first beer i ever drank to the point of getting drunk ... it has a special place in my heart so for the overall experice i give it an outstanding. This is a pure sentimental reason, and i am a beer geek, so this is one of those that takes the geek in me to a new level.

Icehouse bought from Sterk's Grocery in Hammond, IN when i was a young-in ... outstanding!

This was my go to beer in high school as it was cheap and had a higher alcohol percentage than the average American lager.

It served its purpose and while I am a fan of most beer, and drink most anything especially if it is free this beer is one I shy away from. It just is not very good. The recipe hasn't changed in forever and I would rather pay a little extra for a coors, PBR, etc.

However if your looking for a cheap beer that will get you drunk in short order than this is for you.

Icehouse is an ok beer. It's cheap, it's a Miller Entry, that is as most things Miller, just ok. Nothing special.
Where Miller's MGD has some character and is quite drinkable when you've an adjunct frame of mind/taste. Icehouse is just 5.5% of eh.. not much carbonation, nearly no head and after it sits in a 16 oz. Pilsner glass for more that 10 minutes is somewhat flat.
Since Miller is now touting Miller Light as the original that started it all... it speaks of their focus. Sell a lot of beer to a lot of people as quickly as possible.. Bleh!

Definitely not a "good" beer but one I feel very nostalgic about due to it being the preferred choice of friends during college. Higher ABV than many other macrobrews. "Adult soda". When I need a lot of light refreshing beer I'll always go with this guy.

Appearance: Light golden straw, translucent color. Short lasting white head.
Aroma: Non-distinct beer smell.
Flavor: A light smoky malt flavor. A harsh, slightly bitter finish. Weakly carbonated. Light bodied foamy feeling in the mouth.
Overall: This beer has a decent woody/smoky flavor up front. The finish; however, is harsh and dry. It leaves a prickly, dry feeling in the mouth.

This beer is pretty good ice cold. Their is nothing wrong with this beer because the price is low for this beer.

Appearance It Is a gold body . Head is gone in in a few seconds with no lacing.

Smells : Malts and a bit of corn.

Taste Has a sweet taste with a tiny hint of hops. Slightly metallic finish if drank out of a can. To solve this probem drank out of a glass ..

Mouthfeel :Too highly carbonated for my taste but it is not bad.

It's certainly not the worst or the best I've ever had but the price is right on this beer. It went down pretty smooth !

I used to drink this beer alot when I lived in Minnesota. I would stick a few cans in the snowdrift to get them ice cold when grilling. It seems to taste best when the beer is near freezing. It has a crisp taste and seems to have more carbonation than most beers. Not the best beer I have ever had but its light and goes down easily.

For the price 13.99 a 30 pack where I live this beer is good. It better then most in the same price range. Has a strong apple cider taste with a sour after taste. Some metallic taste from can I believe. Aftertaste goes away quick. Really a smooth taste for ice brew style non watered down. Has what I call ok drinkability not top dollar but not the worse,

Smells lightly of malt and hops (slightly floral perfume) with a bit of a sour edge. Almost smells like a Pilsner. As it warms up, that slight sour edge becomes more apple cidery. Flavor is similar to the nose, but the hops are less pronounced and there is a sweetness that carries through the whole way. Sweet malt up front, flash of hop flavor then fades quickly from malty to sugary, the hops go metallic, then the flavor muddles and becomes watery before the finish. Finish is short except for the impression of sweetness that lingers a bit.

Overall, this brew has a good balance between clean/crispness and actually having some flavor. It's got more flavor than most beers in the category without being too fruity or sweet. The carbonation is on the low end of moderate and just about right, in my opinion.

Aggressive pour into big Ol beer mug
A:Poured light straw yellow fat head no lacing. Head is gone pretty quick. Lots of carbonation looks cheap
S: corn malts grainy. Actually not so bad
T:slight bitter upfront corn grains and finally metallic malty finish Tastes Better than I assumed it would.
M:thin. But again not as watery as I assumed.
O:not bad for the style. Of course I enjoy the taste of beer period. So it's tastes like beer to me. Its got above average ABV points for that. A decent choice if you want to slum it for a day and someone else is buying!

This beer is nasty. In my opinion, the only people who should be buying this beer is people who are looking to save money. A 30 box of this beer was $15 at my store which is incredibly cheap.
You realize why this beer is so inexpensive one you taste it. This brewery spent no time or effort making a good tasting bee!

Poured from can into a pint glass

Appearance –Pours a medium golden color with tons of small bubbles rushing p through the body of the brew. There is a big white head on the top which fades very fast to leave a moderate level of lacing.

Smell – The nose is very light overall and consists of some corn and a light papery smell.

Taste – Upfront he taste is on the slightly drier side with flavors of corn and rice up front. As the taste advances some light hop bitterness comes to the tongue. This is accompanied by a very light metallic taste, but one that is very light and not overpowering or very off putting. Overall the taste was much better then what I anticipated.

Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the thinner side in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the medium to slightly higher side. Both are quite appropriate for the style and make it easier drinking.

Overall – While there are much better brews out there, Icehouse is better then I was expecting. Not really offensive and rather easy drinking with an even little bit of bitter hop working its way into the taste.

A - huge white head rests atop a crystal-clear body of straw yellow; lively carbonation; looks like a typical adjunct

S - malty/corny smell, alcohol

this whole beer is a bad idea, made simply to market to lowest common denominator for the cheapest price with the highest alcohol content

If you have any dignity at all, Avoid it at all costs.

A: This is just your average looking beer. Nothing special, resembles piss.

S: Sort of a sour musky smell. Not the worst smell in the world, but far from the best.

T: By far the worst aspect of this brew. I would probably rather drink a 12 ounce can of my own piss if it weren't for the buzz factor. This one is tough to get down. In comparison to Milwaukee's Best Ice, this one is noticeably worse, and has less alcohol! This could possibly be the worst tasting beer I have ever had.

M: Feels like one of your average cheap beers. Very high gravity, but most likely an attempt to hide its rotten flavor.

O: While this is probably the worst tasting beer I can think of, it does remind me of college and having a good time. It is higher in alcohol than your average beer, so I view that as a plus. This beer should only be consumed when there is nothing else left.

2.0 A: Clear light yellow color. Mega-carbonated as the first pour gave me about 40% head. Fortunately retention is poor. Pillowy white head.

1.0 S: This is the closest to smelling like nothing that I've ever experienced in a beer. Smells like water I guess.

1.5 T: Just the slighest bit of neutral maltiness. Underwhelming even for the style.

1.0 M: Despite the giant head, there isn't a lot of carbonation in this. I guess the carbonation was just trying to get as far away from this beer as possible. Water body. No creaminess.

Poured from 24oz tall can into a pint glass.

Appearance: medium golden hue with a clear body and a decent effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam that doesn't have much retention. Actually, it's not too bad for the style.

Smell: light, largely inoffensive aroma, probably helped by its relative coldness right now. A little bit of plastic and corn come in around the edges; par for the course for the style, and like I said, not yet warm enough to be offensive.

Taste: here's where this beer *really* shines. At first taste, it's cold -- just how it ought to be served. Unfortunately, but the time it hits my gullet, it has warmed up enough to show its true colors. The aftertaste of this beer is all plastic and metallic and, well, lots of other inedible things. Blech.

Mouthfeel: pretty light body with a little bit of fizz. Not that interesting.

Overall: even for a cheap beer in a big can, this is not too good.
