Look-It is as clear as is its deception on your palate. Light yellow colors like piss and nothing special.

Smell-It smells like a beer that you should not let touch your tongue.

Taste-It tastes like you really shouldn’t have tasted this beer. Your nose was trying to save you from a catastrophe.

Mouthfeel-It feels like sticky garbage and once again this is just punishment for drinking this awful beer.

Overall-I cannot be more clear than DO NOT DRINK THIS! (464 characters)

Hard to find in bottles but this is my favorite light beer. I usually enjoy it in two coozies...one thin bottle coozie placed inside a thick foam can coozie. I also enjoy it out of a mug when I am feeling fancy or watching a baseball game. It's not bad out of a can either. Much easier to find in an 18 pack of cans around me. Also widely available in a 32 oz travel size.
Because this beer is value priced I think most beer drinkers underestimate it. It has a great beer taste without the sweetness of regular high life and most other adjunct lagers. I have some nose-in-the-air friends who will only drink their overpriced bud light but I think they are missing the boat with high life light. It pairs well with almost anything...except jack daniels. Nachos, fries, wings, pizza, taco bell...very versatile beer for any cuisine. The mouthfeel is good and keeps getting better as you drink more. The clear bottle is great for when youre outside because you can easily see if a bug is floating around on the top.
This is truly the champagne of light beers...I think that much is clear. (1,096 characters)

I love the way the champagne of beers (light) looks in the bottle. Quintessential lawnmower beer. Smell? Not much to really speak to. Taste is clean and crisp, dry grainy flavor. Best served ice cold. This son of a bitch was actually in the freezer for a while. Very smooth in a watery kind of way, maybe good at a tailgate when that's the sort of thing a drinker is looking for. Also, it's cheap as all get-out if that matters for anything. It went very well on a warm June evening with my blackened salmon over greens. All in all, a refreshing and satisfying brew. (566 characters)

for its class of beer, which i have little love for, this really is pretty solid. i dont drink much american adjunct light lager, but if i am, this isnt a bad pick. i should say though, that the bottle is an awful experience, but the cans, when ice cold, can be refreshing if nothing else. when ice cold, the flavors of the can and the extracty malt stay back, and just clean yellow beer comes through, just like grand pappy likes it, and although it would never stack up, in my opinion, against even a lousy craft lager, i think it has redeeming value, and i would take it over scores and scores of its peers. i cant stand miller light, one of the worst beers on earth, but this high life light is a big improvement over it, when fresh enough, and when freezing. the temperature is important, more than in other beers, because a warm beer in this category is not a nice thing. its also not bad when you are full of wedding cake, thirsty, and stoned. i have to give it that, it has earned it enough times now to warrant this meager review... (1,041 characters)

Miller High Life Light brewed by Miller Brewing Co., with an ABV of 4.5% This brew pours out a nice amber color with a nice white head. High Life Light has the look of most light Lager on the market. However it has a bit more of an ABV. The smell is rich with flavors. You pick up on grains, malts and some hops. It smells like beer, what more can I say. Now for the taste it is light with some grains and malts. There is nothing overpowering about Miller High Life Light, it is smooth going down. The mouthfeel is smooth clean and refreshing. This is not a brew with a lot of flavor however it is a nice drinking brew. Overall I'm giving Miller High Life Light a 3.75 out of 5. Miller High Life Light is what it is Light brew. Miller Brewing Co. did a nice job with this one I would buy this brew again. (812 characters)

This an above average Light American beer. For taste, it may be the best tasting macrobrew Light American lager because the beer taste is there. Miller and Bud Light have almost no taste. Coors is sweet, but not a lot of beer taste. I think Miller High Lifw Light is a quality beer, and maybe best in its category. (314 characters)

One of the better Lights Beers.

LOOK
A good looking beer but a step down from regular High Life in appearance. Moderate head that dissipates quickly but with decent lacing. Clear, light golden body with moderate carbonation.

SMELL
Mild. Neutral. Clean. Rice and corn?

TASTE
Light. Clean. Sweet grain. Light balancing dryness (barely).

FEEL
Crisp. Watery. Mild grainy body. A little sweet. Faint hint of dryness. Super drinkable. Goes down smooth.

OVERALL
Tasters like a cross between Miller High Life and Michelob Ultra. Mildly flavorful and yet superbly smooth. Ice cold on a hot day this is hard to beat. A real thirst quencher. (652 characters)

Couldn't pass up the price on a 30 pack tonight. I have more than 100 beers in my house, but I'll admit I have an addiction to acquiring things.

Appearance (3.25) : Straw, pale golden color, with a very fluffy and lively 3 fingered head. The head leaves lacing down the sides of the glass, a plus for a light beer. Recedes to about 1 finger.

Aroma (3) : Fresh, clean scents. Cooked corn, light hop, floral, water, and more corn.

Taste (3) : Malt hits first with a corn underbelly and a malty barley finish. Ends with a trademark Miller Lite type of dry hopped finish. Out of the can there is tin and metallic notes, when poured that goes away. Definitely better out of a glass, but I doubt I'm gonna take the time to pour this one to drink it anyways.

Mouthfeel (2.75) : Carbonated, creamy, watery. Light bodied.

Overall : For a light beer, this one isn't half bad. I still stand by High Life as being the better option, but if you're watching your waistline, this one ain't bad...just make sure you don't reach for two for every one of regular high life you'd grab normally because the flavor is missing. Defeats the purpose! (1,132 characters)

Lots of haters on this one bringing the score down. However, I'm a firm believer in rating things based on what they are. I appreciate a great craft beer, and have often been called a beer snob. But this is not a craft beer. Therefore, it should not be rated like a craft beer.

So, of all the cheap beers out there (including MGD, Bud, Coors, High Life, Pabst, etc., etc., etc.), High Life and High Life Light are my go-tos. They have more flavor than most, go down smooth, and taste reasonably good (and refreshing) when really cold.

At room temperature, I'll pass. But throw one in the freezer for awhile, and you will take out a decent tasting beer for those weeks when money's tight. Founders it ain't. But it is one of the better BudMilloors products. (770 characters)

12 oz can poured into a lager glass.

A - Gold straw. One inch head with spotty lacing.

S - None

T - Cereal, corn, and light hops. Finishes nice and dry.

M - Light

O - Considering that I don't like light beers, this one has enough character to alert me to the fact that it IS a beer. Very smooth and drinkable. Refreshing, even. Miller wins again. (351 characters)

This beer is my go to summer beer when I am not drinking craft.

It blows bud, miller, and pabst out of the water. I know that's not a ringing endorsement but, it needs to be noted.

This is a solid tasting and enjoyable beer. I prefer mine on the beach or in front of the grill.

Grab a 30 pack cans, put your snooty nose away and enjoy a few beers your dad had and wonder why this has not been in your rotation before. (420 characters)

Appearance: (From can poured into a pint glass): Golden with moderate carbonation bubbles, white head.

Smell: Grainy, Malty

Taste: People may disagree with me, but I have to say that out of all of the cheap priced beers, Miller High Life Light is my favorite. I will go even further than that and say that I prefer this over Coors Light, and I like it as much as Bud Light. There's just a smooth taste here that doesn't leave me with a bitter aftertaste in my mouth like so many other cheap light beers. A fairly tasty beer with perfect grain and malt mixtures; crispy finish. I guess what I appreciate the most is that this beer is definitely no skunk like so many other cheap beers.

NOTE: for those who slagged Miller High Life Light in the review section, here's a trick: Try a can or bottle of this after it has been in a cooler full of ice cubes for a while until the cans/bottles are ice cold. Even better, pour into a frosty mug that's been in the freezer.

Mouthfeel: Mild and bubbly; the "Champagne of Beers" designation on the side may be overdoing things just a tad (that is on the non-lights as well, although truthfully there are a lot of better beers than this one, albeit much higher priced), but really the analogy is accurate in terms of mouthfeel because it is a pleasant swig.

Overall: Hey, everyone has their opinions; but for my budget being what it is; and my propensity to gain weight if I'm not careful (among regular beers, without worries to price or calorie content, Miller High Life/Miller High Life Light would rank very far down my list), Miller High Life Light cannot be beat. Easily a 3.25 overall, maybe even higher. (1,654 characters)

We did a blind taste test with this beer against five other light american lagers to objectively determine which one is best. The beers were Coors Light, Bud Light, Miller Light, Natural Light, and Pabst Blue Ribbon. You can check it out here:

Appearance: Same as with Bud LIght and Coors light, light color with decent carbonation

Smell: Nothing besides the metal its put into

Taste: Slightly better than bud light in the fact that it has some kind of after taste slightly less disgusting.

Mouthfeel: Just like bud light, feels like carbonated metal water.

Overall: Cheap beer with no taste, only redeeming quality is if you drink enough of it, you forgot how bad it is. (433 characters)

This beer is great for the beginner drinker. It is a very light and not too harsh of flavors for a beer. I recommend pouring this beer into a class to release some of the carbonation, it gives it better flavor and allows you to drink more. This beer has been around for a while, allowing it to be one of the classic beers, and a perfect transition to the new beer drinker. (372 characters)

The first time i saw this beer it was on tap at a bar and it was a light yellow/gold coloring to it. I was not a big fan of the smell because it smelled a little malty and almost like it had gone bad. The taste was decent though, but maybe a little watered down because it was light. (283 characters)

well welcome to another college beer with no taste, smell and overall flat mouthfeel. Great beer for college kids looking for $7 deal for a 12 pack. utterly disgusted to call this a beer. Being a DIPA lover, this is not my style. This beer is good for someone who needs a cheap beer...fast...and make sure to get tums for the morning. This guy does not sit well (361 characters)

Coming out of a 12oz bottle into a pilsner glass

A - Well, it's a typical adjunct, with that regular ol' straw color

S - Not much going on, a faint malty sweetness with a touch o' corn

T - Hell, for an American adjunct light, this aint too bad. Not much taste, again, a corny -malty sweetness is the overriding flavor. You cant expect a whole lot from any of these light beers.

M - Once again, pretty weak ( especially after sampling a Chimay White beforehand )

O - Is there REALLY any point in reviewing a beer like this ? Well, I guess there is. We all know just about what to expect with this beer. It really comes down to " How does it compare to other American adjunct lights ?."...Well, for me personally, I'd take it over Miller Lite, Bud Light, and certainly Coors Light...

Give it a shot...If you gotta' go light... (830 characters)

Poured from can into a pint glass

Appearance –Pours a straw color with a huge white head. The head is big and billowy, fading mover a moderate amount of time to leave a decent level of lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The nose is heavy of a corn malt sweetness. Mixed with this aroma is a lighter aroma of light citrus.

Taste – The taste begins with a bready and corn sweet flavor. This flavor is the base of the brew and remains relatively constant throughout the taste. More toward the end a light citrus hop flavor comes to the tongue. Mixed with the corn, bready and light hop comes a somewhat metallic taste as well, tarnishing the smoother flavor more toward the end.

Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is rather light in its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. A little higher carbonation may have been slightly better, but overall the mouthfeel was rather appropriate for a American light adjunct brew.

Overall – Well what can you say. Nothing special or all that flavorful, if it wasn’t for the off flavors at the end of the taste it would have been much easier drinking and sessionable. (1,158 characters)

A - Drank from the bottle. Clear gold with slight froth.

S - Creamed corn, corn flakes.

T - Corn flakes, creamed corn, small amounts of rice and unmalted barley.

M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. At least it isn't stinging so that's a plus for the category.

O - Overall, it's a light beer that actually has some flavor. Better than any light beer I've ever had. (374 characters)

From the 32 oz. can. Into a tulip glass. Three fingers of head, low retention rate. Almost clear (lightest straw color) body.
Smells like my breath after a night of drinking light beers. Kinda grainy but in the worst way.
Taste sickly sweet with a mild grain. Watery and lacking flavor.
Light body with moderate carbonation.
The Champagne of Beers should not be done in a "Light" version. (390 characters)

12 ounce bottles poured into a pilsener. "Best by" date of 01/14/2013.

Appearance: Clear pale yellow with a white, fizzy head that quickly diminished to a thin film. Tiny suspended particles. Nice carbonation bubbles, Thin lacing left behind.

Smell: Wet cereal. No hop or malt aroma to speak of. Slightly pungent.

Taste: Crisp and dry. Finish lingered a little bit. However, like the smell there was not much to taste as far as malt or hops.

Mouth Feel: Thin but a nice sting on the tongue and inside of the mouth.

Over all: Not terrible for a light beer. I think it fits the style but it could have a little more flavor. I would drink this again. (653 characters)

Pint at Tully's NY for 2.50$

Appearance - Clear light yellow colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an above average amount of carbonation showing and there is actually a bit of lacing. The head lasted for 2-3 minutes.

Smell - Breads/grains, fruity notes, corn

Taste & Mouth - There is an above average amount of carbonation and I can taste corn mixed with some grains/breads. There is also a bit of a fruity/corn syrup sweetness. It ends with a lightly sweet crisp aftertaste.

Overall - Not too bad at all.. reminded me a bit of a better bud light taste wise. Light beers with a decent flavour have their time and place. This beer would work well for camping trips etc. (699 characters)
