In the cheap beer for summer time chugging category, this is a sure thing. It goes down so smooth, it's scary.

There are no "off" flavors. It's one of the few cheap beers that doesn't give you a gag reflex.

Regular Miller High Life is good too, but the Miller High Life Light is even better for thirst quenching.

I hear that Miller puts something in the beer to keep it from "skunking" up. Still, I have had some in the clear bottles that have slight skunk. So I always go for the cans and pour in a glass.

This is the only cheap light beer worth drinking.

What do you look for in an american macro lager. You look for something that's crisp, refreshing, smooth, and mildly bitter. Check check check check. This beer is what one would look for in a light lager. Has a faint smell, but at least i smell something. I can't smell anything in a lot of light lagers. Great head retention and a nice pale yellow. Taste is remarkably smooth. Mouthfeel is amazing just so well carbonated its crazy. I could pound these all night.
So what if it's not some bitter harsh beer that you have to acquire a taste for over time. This beer is what it is. It wasn't made to be anything else. It was made to have low calories and still be refreshing with not too much of a watered down taste. That's exactly what it is. Don't let your arrogance get in the way of having a beer you can just pound down and be refreshed by.

Good job Miller High Life Light

Appearance: Gold in color, white head. Obviously a light beer due to its transparency.

Taste: Not a bitter beer, some sweetness in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Feels like water, no real volume to the beer

Drinkability: Superb, drinking this fast or slow is easy as anything

Overall I enjoy this beer, while it is not the best tasting, when comparing it to other similarly priced beers, it excels. Bang for buck, this is my light beer of choice. Especially if you are in college and tired of Natty, or Milwaukee's Best, or Keystone, this is your saving grace.

I think High Life original is possibly my favorite American Lager. Thought this would just be a watered-down version of that.
It is not. Man I don't want to admit it, but I like this as much as my beloved High Life.
Or do I?
I cannot make up my mind. I do not want to like this as well, but...
Light beer has never been my favorite style, but this may be my favorite of them all.
@$.50 a can this is a bargain. And I like finding good bargains.

What can I say, this beer gets a lot of bad reviews, but I was impressed. Kinda of a drinkable, cornish flavor. Went down smooth. Like I said, hints of corn all over it, almost too much, but besides that, a really decent beer. I would reccomend this beer to the people that are curious to try new beers, but to a veteran, this beer could be bad.

It is what it is and that's a light beer, probably the best for the money. Miller got it right for this one. It's got a sweet taste with the perfect amount carbonation. Very refreshing even when at room temperature but much better cold (obviously).

decide to try a case of highlife light since a rarely drink light beers.
pours a light golden color , the head stays for a good bit. crisp taste and very drinkable ( good beer for a hot summer day after mowing the lawn.
i am usually a bit hesitant towards light/ lite beer ,but so far in my adventure in the world of beer i find this to be a good example of light beer.

Purchased at Holiday beverage in Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It was a case (24) bottles which were bought cold.
Apperance- a typacle beer with a basic amber color with little carbonation
Smell- a weak smell that has no real aroma
Taste- I like the taste when i'm just sitting around drinking but does not compare to fine beers
Mouthful- weak taste so no real specifics
Drinkability- this is the only reason why I drink it, I can drink them all night long

yes, i gave it high marks...but that's because this beer is what it's supposed to be, and then some. it destroys bud lite, coors light, and miller lite. you cannot beat this as far as a cheap, pound em down, refreshing beer. drink one after cutting the grass and you'll see what i mean. taste is a watery beer, great cold. smell is the usual from these kinds, drinkability is through the roof great. awesome beer...for what it is...a super cheap, super drinkable, average joe beer. and i hate this style, so that should tell you something.

A = 1 finger head. Nice pale yellow and clear with moderate carbonation.

S - some malt and crisp noble hops perhaps?

T = Very light in flavor but refreshing with a crisp finish.

Mouthfeel - cold and watery with some carbonation on the toungue

Overall - A nice light and refreshing beer to go with anything. Not what you want to warm up to on a cold winter night but good with picnic food and crabs.

Pours out a pale golden/straw color with a lively carbonation, a thick head that stays around as you drink, and incredible lacing patterns. A true pilsner should strive to look this good. Smells grainy and a little grapey and not much else. Watery smelling. A bit of a malty flavor with some corny grain husk and a light fruitiness. Finishes kind of thinned out and really dry. I quite enjoy the dryness of this. Carbonation is rather mellow for a light lager and it has a bit more body than usual. This is totally inoffensive, but I'd rather be having regular High Life, honestly.

Really the best of the typical light beers I've ever had (barring things like Shiner Light which is a totally different take).

A - medium to light amber color. little to no carbonation. no head to speak of. no lacing.

S - better than i expected. hops and malts prominent.

T - not bad. smooth. not overbearing, but not impressive, either.

M - doesn't fill the mouth very well. felt it on the outer tips of my tongue.

D - good, cheap session beer. not a bad beer to drink while grilling on a summer night...or just after having mowed the lawn.

This in one of my essential "garage" or "lawnmover" beers that I keep around the house. It has a straw almost see-through color. It pours watery thin with a very white head. Some hop flavor but not much. it is 5.99/12 pack! u cannot go wrong with that.

Run of the mill light beer. I'm a fan of Miller Lite... so I decided to spend a few dollars and check this out. Not bad...not great either. It's a great buy for the money, though. If I was still in college and on a strict "beer budget" this would be the beer of choice. Thank goodness, though, that I'm not and that I can buy better beers. I'd say it's about average. As I said... Not bad, but not great either. Don't get me wrong... I bought a 12pk for $5 and change...I enjoyed all $5 worth. There are better beers out there, though.

A very nicely done cheap light beer. Picked up a 12 pack for $5.99 that was slightly past expiration. Great price, refreshing light beer that goes down easy. It even has more delicious alcohol than most light beers. It's mostly tasteless, but not offensive like Bud Light. Tastes mostly of corn with a bit of hops and maIts. It's only cheap light beer, but I like it.

Appearance: Extremely clear. Very carbonated with bubbles rising from the bottom. Head starts out at about 2 inches, slowly reducing to about a quarter inch. As the slogan notes, the carbonation can only be described as champagne-like, but soon is limited to the remainder of the bubbles releasing their grip and crawling to the surface. The color is a pale yellow. Leaves very large rows of lacing.

Smell: Somewhat sweet with a clear odor of alcohol. There is a slightly metallic smell, very similar to other beers in the price range.

Taste: A very dull sweet taste, less than noted in the smell. Leaves a strong aftertaste of yeast subsiding within moments. The metallic smell noted before, lingers for slightly longer than the yeast. The flavor is above average for beers of a similar category.

Mouthfeel: Light body with a watery feel on the tongue. The flavor kicks in the longer it is held and a bit unpleasant at first. Definately not a beer to be enjoyed.

Drinkability: The best thing this beer has going for it. The light body and watery taste makes going through High Life far too easy. At $15 for a 30 pack, it is not bad on the wallet either.

A watery brew with just enough sweetness to make it enjoyable after playing two hours of basketball...what I like about this beer is that I can can about 5 or 6 in short period of time after working up a sweat and not be knocked on my ass....I know people say drink water after working out....I say fuck that...nothing tastes better than a light beer after totally dehydrating yourself in competion...

this is decent....light golden color...big frothy head...nose is light and adjuncty...not as sweet or flavorfull as regular High Life but for a light beer it has a nice little sweet flavor to it...light bodied....pretty crisp but smooth at the same time,,,

Doesn't seem any worse than any of the other light beers...really hits the spot nicely when thirsty...Some day I will do a blind taste test with 8-to-10 of the light beers and see how it turns out...for now this seems as good or bettr than any other than Sammy Light and a couple others...

Pretty highly carbonated, but easy to drink. The poor man's Corona. For 6.99 a 12 pack, you can't beat it as a college student. Its better than any of the more expensive macros such budweiser, miller lite, and coors, and is much cheaper. Not recommended as a beer to enjoy with dinner or anything like that, except maybe at a BBQ. For beer snobs that review this w/ all the ASTMD standards, come off it. I enjoy quadrupels, tripels, brown ales and many other nice styles of beer, but this is a good beer to have a good time with and little else.

Poured a nice golden color with thick head that thins to a lace. Can't see much carbonation here. Standard adjunct corn aromas.
As I was expecting lots of adjunct flavor and there was very little of lit, I'm kinda impressed by the taste. Goes down pretty smooth, probably because of the lack of carbonation and it's a light beer, although there is a little dryness to it.

Overall I'm pretty impressed. Taste is better than expected (for a light adjunct beer). This might be the best light beer I've had.

The champagne of beer's little brother, from the can. Very pale, fizzy high level of carbonation. Light corn smell. The taste is simple: fizzy seltzer, a touch of corn. Clean and dry finish, lacking in off-flavors. Super chuggable and refreshing. A reasonable approximation of High Life Heavy and definitely one of the best light beers.

A: Golden light with strong carbonation. Lacing and head retention are a tad weak but no absent like so many other light beers.

S: Slight grassiness which is OK for a light lager. A clean smell.

T: Smooth and seems to have a taste of Northern Brewer hops maybe. Not strong enough to say for sure. A low to medium hop bitterness and aroma.

M: Light. A small amount of maltiness which is OK for the style.

D: Come on. For the price I could throw many of these back....all night too.

Overall a very good value in a light American macrobrew light. Very good.

I didn't even realize this existed until today.

Pours a golden color with a one-finger head into my glass. Looks like the usual.

Aroma is full of sweet, bready adjuncts in the nose, except that they're toned down a bit (this is a light lager after all).

Taste is crisp, sweet and full of breadiness. Not bad. Kind of tolerable for what it is. Easy to drink.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering breadiness/sweetness. Inoffensive. Nothing harsh.

Not bad for the style. It's not going to knock your fucking socks off but if you're at a party and you don't give a shit what you drink, grab a bottle of this if it's available.

12 oz can. Pours a very light straw color with a nice 3 finger head, from an aggressive pour, that settles at a light coating over top, with a island of chunky head as well. Clarity is brilliant, and there are very few bubbles working their way out of the beer after it settles down. Aroma is big on corn sweetness, with not much else going on in there. Very one dimensional. Flavor is much the same, with a light corn sweetness, and nothing else. Mouthfeel is very light, with a fairly light carbonation as well. As far as drinkability goes, this one is one of the better American macros in my book. It does not have the grainey character I find in bud products, and the corn sweetness is not bad, just not what I necessarily want in a beer I am drinking to enjoy. I grabbed these beers to drink while tossing a frisbee around with some friends, and it was very nice on a very hot day. This is one that I would want to keep around for friends that are not into craft beer, and wouldn't even try one if offered. I could handle finishing the leftovers of this one.

Drank from a clear bottle. Bought in cost effective 12 pack.

A: Straw yellow, like a hangover piss. Pretty average for bad beers though.

S: Not really anything, a little skunky hops?

T: Bottom of the barrel, nothing harsh, nothing stand offish, I enjoyed it, quenchs your thirst without being heavy in the least.

M: A little slimey, carbonation tinge.

D: C'mon, it's cheap, middle of the road taste, and made for mass and rapid consumption, I would buy again, when the shakes strike.
