From a 12 oz

Pours a light clear grain yellow. Minimal white head.

Smells like barley and sweet corn malts.

Taste is very light, barley and corn adjuncts. Of note: one of the only light beers I've had that at least still tastes like beer.

Thin and a bit watery with cheap carbonation.

Well, its a light beer. What do you expect? This is the best macro light in my opinion. Easy to session if its all you've got.

A - crisp and clear...pale gold...one-finger head that dissipates very quickly...leaves a thin cap and has a bit of lacing, though not much

S - some sweet corn...a bit metallic

T - not much...does have a slight corn and malt flavor...not much, but it isn't

M - watery (go figure)...very high levels of carbonation...dry finish

D - of all the macro light lagers, this one is probably near the top...definitely a favorite when at the softball field

Appearance: Light light yellow.

Smell: Smells like straw and beer. Generic beer smell associated with light American lagers.

Taste: Not much going on here. I can drink these given I'm at a party playing flippy cup, or there is no other option given. It has a distinct taste, compared to other light American lagers. It is uniquely Miller's flavor. Probably the corn.

Mouthfeel: Somewhere between a regular and a diet soda. Can actually be quite refreshing on a hot day, again, given there isn't an alternative. I'd go for a Sierra Nevada Summerfest lager.

Drinkability: Again, quite good. These are easy to drink beers either by the can, bottle, tap or pitcher. This is assuming you can get past the taste.

Overall, this is the probably the beer that gives beer a bad rep. Many would suggest this beer looks, smells and tastes like piss water... It's not quite that bad.

I'll drink these in group settings, say with a pitcher. That's about all it's good for.

Well, this is graded apples to apples since it is a domestic light. Many do not grade that way, but I do. This beer pours a light golden color in a pilsner glass with average head. The smell is a bit dull. It has smell, but nothing interesting. The taste is a little salty. Not smooth and I would not drink this beer for mass consumption compared to other lights I have drank. Has a little after taste.

Verdict: Drink another light beer.

Looks like your standard light lager: pale yellow, no head, little lacing. Smells like light beer with a lot of corn.

The taste is at first light and inoffensive, almost like a lemony tea, but quickly turns metallic. Can't taste much grain in there to be honest. Finishes very dry. Aftertaste is like licking the can, pure metal. Luckily it doesn't last long. Mouthfeel is watery and very carbonated.

The drinkability is about average if you can stand the taste. Not the worst-tasting beer I've had (that honor goes to the flavorless Natty Light), but certainly near the bottom.

This is one of the few times that I have tried this beer. The first few times the taste seemed to repulse me but today it had some what of a more welcoming taste.

A- Color was present but not great. Something to expect from a light beer.

S- Smelled like a cheap beer. Nothing really jumps out.

T- Not over powering, maybe a little on the watery end. Isn't harsh on the palette. Again nothing jumps out. Good to drink while doing some form of activity, in my case fishing.

M- Light carbonation, not very thick.

D- Easy to drink. No harsh after taste and light carbonation make this an easy beer to enjoy when looking for something to drink and not to satisfy a craving.

This is one of my favorite beers. Sure it's a macro so it's not exceptional but is definitely my choice to take fishing or tailgating. Of course there is better beer, but for an American lager it's one of the elites. Much better than Bud Light and the silver bullet.

Pours a golden color with visible carbonation, and little head. The aroma is well missing. Nothing but a musty water smell. The taste is of a slight hop bitterness yet with a bite of skunky beer to it. The mouthfeel is okay not overly carbonated. The drinkability is low, you could have one or two and no more. It is a simplistic beer, instead of triple hop brewing their one hop they could add some citrus notes or some other more flavorful hops.

This is the epitome of piss beer. I absolutely hate it. It is terrible from bottles, cans, and kegs. While it is a part of many good memories I wish I could forget this beer. It is cheap for a reason. I won't even call it drinkable because I hate it so much.

A- More colour than you would expect - probably due to the carmel colouring it undoubtedly contains. Looks like a decent beer.

S- Dosn't smell. Just enough smell to tell it's a beer and not a club soda.

T- If you are out doors, skateboarding or mowing the lawn or enjoying another activity that would mellow you enough and not allow room to contemplate what you are drinking, it's tolerable. Much like a club soda with a bit of skunked light beer added. Horrible with food. To try and pair this with food would be futile. Tastes of watery must.

M- Club soda.

D- Decent if your mindless. But why would you want to get drunk on something like this?

Good before 10-05-09 per the bottom of the can.

Pours a clear, rich brass with a 1/2 inch bright white pancake bubbled head. Head retention is low, leaving a slight hazy of head after about 5 minutes in my pint glass.

Smells of light grains, a touch of bakers yeast and super mild earthy hops. Rather simple nose...

A sea of bubbles hits my palate at first. After a couple seconds I get the grain, corn and yeast combination in the middle and finishes quickly leaving a mildly hoppy aftertaste.

Light bodied with a lingering grainy aftertaste in my mouth.

A- Similar to the adjunct lagers--straw colored with some decent head on this one (the result of the most forceful pour ever).

S- Doesn't smell so good--some corn, some bread, some skunk (this one isn't skunked though--I think it's just supposed to be this way...).

T- Oh yes, triple hop brewed... light malt--not too bad. Little or no hops to speak of.

M- Soda, goddammit I want more.

D- Good for getting drunk. Honestly, though, not bad for BBQ/summertime.

A- Very light and pale in color

Smell- Aroma similar to most macros, no hop aroma (must be triple hoped brewed with left over hops)

T- Combination of water and urine

M- Light-bodied, highly carbonated, better than other light macros

Drinkability- Highly drinkable, too bad that's not the only thing I'm concerned about in my beer

I prefer this over CoorsLight and BudLight, but I'd rather drink a non-light beer any day

Pours very pale yellow with a white foamy head that is gone soon to a skim. No lacing.

Light (Lite!) sour beer aromas with a boiled grain/corn element. No skunk, but not alot that is enticing.

Thin, very watery, with some fair hop bitterness and boiled corn. Good luck finding much else. Finshes clean, as water usually does, on the palate.

Light, decently carbonated, and quenching for the desert dweller.

Overall, I was handed this shit at a family party and had to choke it down. No off flavors, but that's because there aren't any flavors. Why even bother? I see people buy this stuff by the case(S), and it just flat out baffles me.

From the 40oz.!

app.- very clear light golden with foam that disipates quickly, but thats what they were aiming for.

smell- corn smell that does not inundate the nostrils and some malt , nothing really stands out , but not awful

Taste- Corn , some yeast malt and just a tony bit of hops in the flavor, again not awful

Mouthfeel- Very light although not as light as other light lagers.

Drink- very easy to slam them at partys.

Straight up if I'm going to drink 12 beers its going to be 12 of these, easy to drink low in calories and pretty cheap without being complete shit.

I would not have just one though because nothing stands out in this brew. But I think it's the best of the empire light beers.

Taste: Better than it smells. A bit corny/grainy.

Drinkability: Excellent. It's a run of the mill beer, not good but not bad. And it's really mild (weak).

I CANnot believe either their current marketing campaign OR the gullibility of the drinking populace. "Locks In Great Pilsner Taste", "Taste Protector Lid", "Great Pilsner Taste ... Triple Hops Brewed" are all followed on their imprint by "TM" in the teeny-tiniest, sub-agate font allowed by law! Why, you might ask is that important? Because, by law, you CAN and MAY trademark any meaningless slogan that passes across your synapses. That would be like me advertising "Woody Chandler - interchangeable with Hercules, Adonis, and/or Superman!" (TM). Rubbish!

On to the beer: I hoped, for a fleeting millisecond, that I might have actually poured a beer today with some head. Whoops, was I wrong! It started out with a nice, bone-white head, but the fizzy carbonic nature of the beer just erupted right through any head that may have had a chance. Even H. C. Andersen's mermaid had a better chance of becoming foam. I really had to sniff to get the cereal-grain (think Cheerios) smell that so many others have alluded to. It was a weakling at a sand-kicking contest (thx, Charles Atlas). Color was a straw-yellow with a brightness approaching water or glass. Mouthfeel was light and airy, allowing me to drift away on its billowy, puffy feel and forget, blissfully, that I was supposed to be drinking BEER! The taste, thankfully protected by the lid and with a "great pilsner taste" (TM), reminded me that it was "triple hops brewed" (TM). Rubbish! I've had tap water with a better taste and mouthfeel. Utter garbage foisted upon an unsuspecting public by lawyers in cahoots with brewers who should know better. The finish left me wishing for beer.

When the bottom line ($) is the bottom line, spend your money elsewhere.

Pours pale yellow with a surprisingly thick soapy head for the style.

Aroma is sweet with a funky vegetal adjunct funkiness.

Taste is initially slightly sour, then a pale, toasted maltiness shines through. Minerally fiinish has a touch of grassy hop.

Mouthfeel is light bodied.

Worth a try if you like a light lager.

The third in a taste off of the 3 big american lights. Bud light, Coors Light, & Miller Lite.

Definitly darker and more yellow than both bud light and coors light. Still a very pale yellow with the typical white head.

The Fullest flavor of the 3 with a bit of corn and light malt with an almost detectable hop presence. Must be the triple hopping.

The mouthfeel is typical watery macro.

Poor drinkablility, so boring.

A sweeter version of the American adjunct light lager. Whereas Bud is drier, Miller is a little sweeter with more corn/husk flavors. A definite beer for long chugging sessions. Buzz is guaranteed. So is an overflowing bladder and numbed taste buds, forgotten nights, discarded clothing, etc. A beer for long parties where sustainability is key and drunkeness is the goal. Taste? Seriously, WTF? Are we drinking this style for our dedication to craftmanship here? Cheers!

Poured to a glass from a 16 oz. can that seems to trying very hard to convince me this is quality stuff.

Obviously this stuff is as good as trash if you are looking for a quality drink. One plastic cup of this stuff gives me a headache every time.

But that's pretty much what Miller Lite is trying to be. It's easy to find and easy to drink. As far as light macros go, it's probably the best. It's certainly one of the least offensive.

Poured a 341-ml bottle into a beer glass.

Appearance - pale yellow colour with fast disappearing head, thin layer of surface bubbles. Highly carbonated.

Smell - very little aroma with only adjunct corn scent with a minimal hop extract smell.

Taste - taste matches the smell. Watery, lacking in any form of flavour, save the thin corn-herb flavour. Short aftertaste of watery, thin, tinny bitterness.

Mouthfeel - while lacking in taste and character the beer is reasonably smooth. Lack of taste is offensive to the palate but the smoothness gets it by.

Drinkability - easy drinking product, but not very good. If it's cold, it borderlines acceptability for a filler product. Not great though.

Appearance: Light straw color with little to no head

Smell: Sweet corn smell, but stronger then some light beers

A - Pale copper color... An ever so slight pure white head quickly dissapates... Lots of moderate paced carbonation...

S - Almost none existent... Just the slight hint of toasted malt... Possibly a tinge of mild weak hops... Not bad or off-putting, but completely boring and bland...

T - Mild malt... Sour dough... Some bready characteristics... Not much else...

M - Slightly fizzy... Light bodied... Thin... Cotton mouth feel after each sip...

D - Overall, just a little more color, flavor, and drinkability than other BMC light beers... Ever beer has its time and place and this is a tolerable stand-in for times when there are limited choices (ball games, bachelor parties, etc...)

Light, almost transparent yellow with a high-foaming, quick-dissipating sudsy white head. Does leave some lace along the glass. Just a bit of corn-and-hop aroma out of the can, slightly wet-cornier out of the glass.

I may lose my membership for this, but in the annals of how things can taste, Miller Lite really isn't that bad. Obviously it's completely lacking in any sort of character or complexity. As their ad once put it, it's brewed in vats the size of Rhode Island. But considering the style, it's smooth, refreshing, unobjectionable, and basically how I'd expect a light beer to taste. I won't be running out to buy it, but I won't turn it down either.
