I give this a 3/5 for hitting it's mark.

Is it an awesome craft brew that will leave you wanting to wake up under an empty tap hose?
Uh, no.

But for those trying to manage obesity, have a light refreshing low alcohol beverage it
definitely has a place in the world. Considering that this is very light, very low Alcohol, only 2 weight watchers points..it's an outstanding beer for it's category.

Don't confuse yourself. I am NOT comparing to Zombie Dust, Green Flash, or craft beers.
I'm comparing to Coors Light, Bud 55, etc..

Beer flavored water. Not bad, just not worth writing home about. If there is no flavor then it can't be bad. I keep this around for my light beer visitors and decided to crack a few. Haven't had aal light in a long time, now I remember why. Also it provides no buzz after five cans. 2.8 abv "lager" ??? At least it's union made which is the only sociallly redeaming thing this about this fizzy yellow water sort of kind of beer like beverage.

Poured from can into a pint glass

Appearance – Pours a medium straw colored brew with a two finger pure white head. The head has big carbonation bubblers that pop over about a two minute time period to actually leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is pretty much non-existent. I maybe pick up a tiny bit of a corny and grainy smell as was as a bit of paper, but overall it is very light.

Taste – Initially it tastes almost exactly like water. There is a tiny bit of a grainy taste up front. As the flavor advances it goes way down hill from there. A paper and metallic flavor mixed with a bit of bitterness comes to the tongue. The paper grows quite strong and mixes with an astringent and horribly papery taste to leave one quite unpleasant taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body while quite thin, is not thin enough to hide all the very off flavors of the brew with a carbonation level that is actually more average. This brew should have been as light and highly carbonated as possible, so nothing would get a chance to be sensed by the tongue.

Overall – Well, it looked OK. Unless you just want to look at it, this beer is one to definitely avoid, as its taste was pretty atrocious.

Okay, this is a light beer, and I suppose that I should review it in that light. However, it is also nearly tasteless. It is watery, pale yellow in color...moderately carbonated, and nearly completely devoid of any smell or flavor. Some spritzy carbonic bite, but nothing that tastes like beer. Not worth drinking if you want to taste your beverage.

Pale, fizzy straw yellow in look. Scent is pale, watery with only a faint whiff of stale light beer. Taste is again very light, somewhat undiscernable from a regular light beer once youve had 1 or 2, stale tasting, light corn. Thin and watery. Compared to Bud 55, this atleast tastes like light beer, and still, thats not a great thing.

Looks as style should, although mine had a virtually no head. Rather light pale ale.
Very light malt character. Rather tight beer overall.
Very light on flavor too. Slight malt. Hard to pick up much for hops. No particular sourness or tartness.
Fully carbonated and decently smooth and soft, but not overly so.
This is what is suppose to be a very lightly flavored low calorie beer. Nothing I'd seek out, but could put one away if thirsty enough - just wouldn't spend my own money on it.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a very pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of corn, somewhat musty. WTF? I would describe the taste as soon as I find one. The is by far the weakest beer I have ever tried, I am struggling to find any flavor profile other than water. Feels like water in the mouth and overall most NA beers I have had taste more like beer than this one.

12 oz can poured into a pint glass, a friend left this at my apartment, so i figured what the heck.

Appearance: 3 fingers of frothy white foam that quickly dissipates, suprisingly decent lacing. Very clear, looks like apple juice.

Smell: Corn, sugar, and water muddled together. Not much else there.

Taste: Also, not much here, a slight bit or corny grains and raw sugar sweetness, carbonated water.

Mouthfeel: Thin and very carbonated

Overall: During my college days i drank beers like this, not my style nowadays but, if its a hot summer day it would probably be better than gatorade. I like the term "lawnmower beer".

Miller 64 is a lawnmower beer for sure. Obviously for those who are conscious about their carb intake but still have a hankerin for beer. I say....quality over quantity. Anyway...the beer pours yellow clear with good carbonation that forms a head...which dissipates over time. The smell and taste are typical...grain slight hop. Mouthfeel is nothing to describe really...more like water than beer. Overall its water with beer flavoring.

12oz can poured into a nonic.

(A)- Pours a clear pale yellow color. Produced a decent pure white cap of froth. Lots of lace.

(S)- A sweet, almost sugary smelling rice and dry corn husk.

(T)- An extremely mild, almost bland rice and a sugary corn flavor.

(M)- A good carbonation level. Crisp and refreshing, but little to no flavor to speak of.

(D)- Very light and crisp with a refreshing finish. Easy to drink, but with this lack of really any flavor, I will gladly pass

This is my cheap, low calorie go to beer. Overall, nothing too impressive. Good for a break between better and more alcoholic beers. This is a good replacement for water. Next to no taste and is fairly carbonated. The only good part of the beer is that it is cheap and cold. Still, better than Bud Light.

12oz can taken from a case, poured into a 12oz beer glass.

Appearance - Poured a perfectly clear lite yellow, about 1 finger of rocky white head, misc. sized bubbles - down to a cap in a minute. I'm actually getting some lacing here, a pleasant surprise. *After finishing the glass, I had solid defined lacing from top to the bottom of my glass, this alone will raise the appearance to a 3.0 for me, I'm a sucker for lacing ;)

Smell - From the can, metallics from the can over-ride the smell a bit, slight grain and sweetness. From the glass, lite grain smell, lite sweetness, all is pretty faint.

Taste - The strongest sensation is a crisp tingle from lots of carbonation. There is some slight grain taste, and some slight sweetness, slight dry breadcrust long in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Very lite and watered down, lots of carbonation, the carb adds a crisp finish. Very easy to drink, but not much for mouthfeel.

Overall - To be fair I must consider what this is - a 64 calorie lite beer. In comparison with other beers of this specific style I really can't knock it. In fact it's fairly refreshing after being in the heat, and I like being able to throw back a few of these quickly and not be buzzed or bloated - it's exactly what I want from a 64 calorie lite beer.

This is a little better than Bud Select 55. Either way though this brew is weak. Far too light for anyone to enjoy on a quality level. This beer doesn't serve much of a purpose other than for economic reasons. Topping off at 2.8% ABV they should almost consider making this beer an NA brew.

Canned: 02/28/2011. 12 oz. can at 42 degrees into a pint glass.

A: This pours a pale yellow color with a finger and a half of white head that lasts a little longer than expected and actually laces a bit. Obviously I was not expecting much here but the head holds well considering how weak this shit is.

S: Light corn sweetness and grass.

T: Lightly sweet corn, grassiness, and some very light hops.

M: The body is thin and watery with lots of carbonation.

D: This is as close to water as a "beer" gets. It is altogether unoffensive but only because it is so weak.

A: Clear straw yellow typical of that of the usual light adjunct lager. A finger width head that actually lingered for a few moments before fading, moderate lacing left behind.

S: Ever so faint grains. Hardly any hop presence along with a slight grassy scent.

T: Faint grains along with a bit sweet hop presence. Not offensive, but not much there at all.

M: Very light feel with a pretty moderate amount of carbonation. Very smooth. Plenty of carbonation at the head.

D: Great drinkability.

The Foremost Liquor Store in Glendale Heights, IL had a shopping cart full of these 12oz silver cans for just 50¢ each, so I picked up a few and took them home to try.

The beer poured a completely clear pale yellow color that made a 1½ finger white head that didn't last very long and left zero lacing on the glass.

There isn't much smell to this. It's pretty clean smelling with just a whiff of corn and nothing else.

By taking all the calories out they pretty much left this devoid of any flavor as well. It
isn't much more than carbonated water. If you really search for it I guess you can find just a touch of pale malt and even less hops, bit basically it's just water.

Thin, watery mouthfeel with a fairly high carbonation level.

Crisp and refreshing, but so is water. If you want a decent light beer, try a Sam Adams Light and leave this stuff in the discount cart for people who don't care how a beer tastes.

Now this is a big time tick. What a wale we have here.

A: The pour is almost clear, and I'm not exaggerating. The head is white and doesn't even stop to say hello before it disappears.

S: This pretty much smells like seltzer water. A little bit of rice and corn but otherwise, it's carbonic acid from the intense carbonation.

T: More of the same on the palate. The intense carbonation leaves hardly any room for taste (not that I was really expecting much anyway). Seriously, though, that's pretty much it.

M: The body is beyond light. Again, I'll invoke the seltzer water analogy.

D: I don't get the point of this beer. Sure, the 64 calories thing is cool, but you could just carbonate some tap water and have the same flavor with zero calories.

Appearance - A lemon, yellow color that starts off murky and finishes see-through. A thick head at the pour that quickly thins out and almost dissapears by the end. Little lacing left on the glass, above average for a macro beer.

Smell - A light lemon and grassy smell and a faint grain smell overpowered by a metallic smell.

Taste - A sweet grain-y taste followed by a mild bitterness finished by a light lemon taste on the tounge. The after-taste is metallic.

Mouthfeel - Its feels like most light beers with a little ting from the hops. Water-y like most light beers but it doesn't ruin it. A fair amount of carbonation that stays until the end.

Drinkability - I don't think I've had a more friendly beer in my life. The beer isn't strong and goes down easy. Low calories, IBU, and cost. That being said while it is friendly, its not great.

Another one that I CANnot believe that I have not reviewed previously. Anything in support of the CANQuest, I suppose.

First, let me say that when this first hit the market back in the late-1980's, I was a HUGE fan in its unleaded version. Regular was much better then its High Life counterpart and this beat Lite six ways to and on Sunday. After I toured the Miller plant in MKE for the first time, in 1992, I was hooked. Today? Let's see ...

From the outset, it had both similarities and contrasts with its leaded version (MGD). I got a nice couple of fingers of bone-white head with lousy retention. Samey-same. Color was a paler shade of golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Close to samey-same. Nose was still filled with adjuncts, especially corn, but not as prevalent. Pretty much samey-same. Mouthfeel was watery and there was not any real taste. It was so innocuous as to wonder why bother. Finish was mighty tasteless, stripped of any fabric of beer. Colored water. Feh. I might as well have had some water. At least my caloric intake was low. Sheesh.

This one's badge/patch may now be in jeopardy.

12 Ounce silver can poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Very light yellow with a decent amount of white head that diminishes very quickly.

Smell: Sweet corn smell that is common among this type of beer. Actually more of a smell then I expected though.

Taste: Pretty heavy on the carbonation with not a lot of strong flavor but what is there is slightly grain like and slightly corn like.

Note: Again I know that this is a macro and light on top of it but because it is striving to be a really light beer it is actually not bad for that particular market. I expected it to be a lot worse.

Wow, 64 Calories in a beer. What could go wrong?

Sadly, almost everything. At least you only consume 64 calories in the process -- so if a light beer is what you're after, definitely check this out.

Not much that resembles beer resides in this can.

Color is as if someone dropped one drop of yellow food coloring into 12oz carbonated water, and mixed it.

Smell is rather tinny, grainy.

Taste is unfortunately tinny as well, almost as if the can has more influence on the flavor than the minimal amount of hops present. Some bland grains round out the flavor. At least it isn't sour or otherwise nasty.

Mouthfeel is what you'd pretty well expect for a super-light beer. Thin, fizzy, watery.

Drinkability all depends. If you can't afford the calories but still want to drink a 2.8% beer....have at it I guess.

A reasonable alternative if you're on a huge diet or avoiding alcohol intake. But if that's your purpose, even Busch NA is far better than this stuff.

A= light gold-yellow like ginger-ale or like yellow snow; quick head after pouring but less than ginger ale, sprite or 7-up.

S= corn, asphalt, tar

T= what do you expect for a near-diet beer with 2.8% alcohol-- and that's about what it tastes like. Sort of like flat dry ginger ale without the sweetness. Very modest sweet something but I can't identify it. It compares to most other beers (even US Macro's) about like Sweet'n'Lo compares to sugar.

M= slightly dry and with good imagination you might find hints of mild hops florals occasionally. Seemed fine until a few minutes later when my mouth smelled like I ate tar and felt like it as well.

D= very drinkable but so is water. If you have the need to be on this near-excuse for a beer then you'll develop a tolerance for many sessions.

Pours a pale yelllow with a thin white head. Smells like nothing. Better than smelling bad I suppose. Tastes of carbonated mineral water, very little malt or sweetness to be found. The finish has just a touch of bitterness, likely because there is no malt to counteract any hops at all. Mouthfeel is that of water, basically, high carbonation. Drinkability is better, the beer is so light and unoffensive I can see how this would be a hit with people who do not like beer. If you are looking for diet carbonated water, this beer is clearly the better choice than the rival Michelob ultra, IMO it tastes better (that isnt saying much) and is less expensive, as well as less calories.

Served from a can into a pint glass.

Appearance- Almost clear, a slight yellowish tint.

Smell- Corn, rice, and slight stale hop oil.

Taste- Watery with a hint of hop extract. I'm quite unsure why someone would want to drink this. I'm really unclear if this is even beer.

Mouthfeel-umm it's like that water you get in europe if you ask for water with a meal, but do not specify tap water. bitter and carbonated.

This is pretty much intolerable, possibly used to say you're drinking beer, but not actually interested in taste or trying not to get buzzed at a party. This was given to me at a miller sponsered event that I won, while the Redwings game was fun, i'm actually sad I was exposed to the beers offered.

OK... my wife LOVES THIS STUFF.... however, she can't stand "THE DARK STUFF" that I drink. I accidently tried this when my friend BART was making a beer run to my basement.... he asked what I wanted... and I said "Surprise me".... and look what he brought upstairs to me.... THAT DIRTY BASTARD!

I cracked open the silver can and poured it into my pint glass. The head formed up to about 1" of snow white foam that immediarely disappeared to a whispy cap of nothingness. The color of the beer is urine yellow.

The nose is nearly non-existant. I tried like hell to sniff something and all I got was a faint grainy smell. It barely made it through the snot in my nose from this evening's dampness.

The taste: Kinda like making love in a canoe... if ya know what I mean.... it's F&*%in' close to water.... slightly fizzy and grainy.

Mouthfeel: Slightly fizzy and rather tasteless.... really, nothing offensive.... but what is the POINT?!

Drinkability: Yes, you can pound back about 100 of these and still wonder where the taste is....

Overall.... this is for the women looking to preserve their figures and not get fat from drinking tasty beer. I will never drink this again unless Bart gets me another one by pure accident.
