First, let me say that Mickey's Fine Malt Liquor is a damn good beer! I have a lot of respect for this particular one. I tried this sample out of a 24 oz. can into a tall beer glass. Mickey's has a thick, white head, a yellow, exceptionally clear color, and high carbonation. Aroma was undetectable. The taste was slightly sweet, somewhat bold, and with a shade of citrus. Lacing was even throughout. This one may the the lightest malt liquor on the market. Mouth-feel was medium. This beer seems to be dry-brewed. It starts smooth and finishes such. While the alcohol level is relatively low (5.6%), I drank about 16 oz. on a pretty empty stomach and could feel the alcohol buzzing about in my head like a hornet. But, I was not stung by it. Really, this is a classic malt liquor and goes highly recommended.

2012 Micky's Premium Malt Beverage - Reviewed 9/9/2012
Pours a hazy golden color with very visible carbonation. Head dissipates quickly leaving thin remnants to remain. Lacing is disappointing but not non-existent.
Very sweet with hints of corn and barley. Alcohol heat is very present in the aroma bit muted.
Taste profile of corn, grass, sweetness. Overpowering maltiness on the back end. No hops to speak of with a boozy finish.
Not as thin as is so prevalent in most other malt liquors. Carbonation is a bit overpowering and detracts a bit from the whole experience.
I would put this at the top of my "go-to" list when in the 40's isle. Artificiality has really been lost with this brew, however I am a little upset that the 40oz format does not come with the classic brain teaser that the "grenades" do. Don't miss an opportunity to party with Micky.
