Appearance: Clear, medium golden orange in color, with a coarse, white head, which quickly collapses. There is no lacing whatsoever, and only slight carbonation.

Aroma: Sharp aroma of apple juice, perhaps Granny Smith and Jonathan apples. The apple note is predominately tart, with an underlying sweetness, similar to Red Delicious apples.

Taste: Opens with a punch of tart apple juice, Followed by a wave of slight spices, perhaps cinnamon and ginger, with a little apple rind late in the taste. Finishes with a slight, lingering sweetness. No hop presence whatsoever was noted.

Mouth feel: Smooth and soft, fairly pleasant.

Drinkability/notes: This seems very similar to a cider, but the label clearly states 'Ale' in large letters.

Presentation: Packaged in a clear glass twelve-ounce glass bottle with a twist-off crown, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice. To judge by billboards that I have seen in Texas, this beer may also be available in forty-ounce bottles.
