Enjoyed this bottled brew out a large snifter glass.
A: Pours a clear golden hue with a minimal white head that quickly dissipates.
S: Mild fruity aroma – mostly apple.
T: Similar to the smell there is a fruity apple aroma.
M: Light body and minimal carbonation.
O: Ok fruity drink.

Drank this straight from the bottle. Appearance was a clear pale yellow. Smelled like an apple cider. The taste wasn't that bad. Tasted like cold apple cider. It was kind of refreshing on a hot summer Indiana day. The mouth feel was thin and fizzy. Overall, it is nothing to rave about but if I was in the mood for something with a different taste this isn't a bad choice.

I always find fruit beers to be difficult to rate. They seem to be one of the most subjective styles out there. I man-lawed a bottle of this from a friend who brought it over. I keep on hearing "You're a beer guy, right? Have you tried Redd's? It's fantastic!" Here goes nothing.
It pours like sparkling apple juice. Has a head like apple juice too: None. Looks like apple juice.
This smells like alcoholic apple cider.
The taste is to the nose. Alcoholic apple cider. It says it's an apple ale but I taste all apple and no ale.
The mouthfeel is light bodied. Apple cidery.
All in all, I tried to keep an open mind. But I don't think this ought to be marketed as beer. It ought to be in the same vein as Mike's Hard or Smirnoff Ice products. I'm sure it has it's audience, but as a beer, I rate this bad.

Decided to try this because it was on sale. Not necessarily a good reason - I understand that - but I'm glad I did. While this has the apple aroma and apple juice taste I expected, I must admit that it is also quite refreshing when imbibed ice cold. The mouth feel is light and crisp. The finish is much more pleasant than a cider and is great in the Florida summer heat.

Never would have tried this on my own, but was given a 6 pack by a friend who doesn't know my taste all that well.
I'm not going to pour this since I can see the beer through the clear bottle. The color is a very diluted caramel, you could hardly tell this from a ginger ale soda.
S- Smell is very nice, but it's worth noting that a lot of it is probably artificial. "Natural apple flavors and caramel color" added.
T- This can't be considered beer. It tastes remarkably like hard cider, but without any funky aftertaste. In fact, it's very similar to apple soda. Just the one apple note, no hops or malt, surprisingly clean and drinkable.
M- Thin, seriously fizzy.
O- This is a pretty tasty drink, but it's not beer. It couldn't even be a gateway for people to get into 'real' beer because it has no beer flavor to speak of. A fruity, crisp refreshing drink that is mislabeled and advertised as 'ale.'
