this is first a wine store, then a grocery, then a liquor store, then lastly a beer store. which means that their beer doesn't move too well. but that also means that they put really good beer that will hold up over time on sale once in awhile. the staff hasn't shown me any knowledge of beer but they seem to be really nice. Selection is spotty lacking some beers you might see in grocery stores then having some beers you haven't seen in forever. Solid pricing (better than Martha's), decent singles selection, definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and need some beer for the night.

This place is right around the corner from my house. While it does not have the largest selection, it does stock a good amount of MI beers. I can always go in there and find something to drink that night. It also gets good reviews since I just found CBS there.
They are also great for homebrewers because I can get cases of empty bottles from them. The clientele is not geared toward micros so you can usually find beers that other places are out of. The prices are reasonable as well. The staff are not beer geeks but are there to help.

This is just down the street from my house. I happened in there on a chance that it might hold some treasure, and there they were, craft beers, 5 or 6 coolers full. In fact, this was the only store in the area where I found Rogue Brutal Bitter. I had looked at most of the other stores in the area and had no luck.
This store has a nice selection of craft beers both US and imports. It is not the biggest or best in town, but it is worth a look if you are in the area (Michigan & Plymouth). They also have a small homebrew section. They sell a lot of wine, and that is their primary focus, but this store has good beer too. They don't seem to sell too many singles, but there are a few along with some bombers.
The staff seemed to be knowledgeable and very freindly. I didn't have a lot of time to stay and chat, but the clerk did comment that he liked the Brutal Bitter too, and suggested a couple of others that I might want to try.
This place is worth a look, again, if you are in the area. It's probably not worth a long drive if you have a good store near you.
