look: 4.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4

First pour leaves a creamy gray-brown head atop a black body; second pour from the bomber creates little head, but the thick ring around the collar remains til it's all gone. Darkest brown-black color, excellent look for a dry stout all around.

The nose is unfortunately muted, beyond a chalky roast-and-toast note there's not much. (On the second pour, the coffee notes are much more appreciated)

The flavor is well within the style for a dry stout; roasted barley with only hint of caramel, toast, and herbal hopping. However, alcohol is kept in check, carbonation is smooth and creamy, and the finish is quick and clean. Everything a dry stout should be.

Aftertaste is mildly bitter roasted coffee. Body is smooth enough, not quite to the creaminess I like but keeping it thin for drinkability is fine too. Overall, not a bad beer at not a bad price. Found this at the Beer Box in Condesa, Mexico DF, I would hope that further distribution is forthcoming. (969 characters)
