This was courtesy of MordorMongo, thanks Scott!
This one pours a medium bodied dark cola brown in color with a light soapy, beige lacing. The nose is pretty bland. It's dark fruit with an ever so slight touch of chocolate malt. Blah. The flavors are similar. It's raisins, honey, figs, and a little bit of Ovaltine. It's ok. I don't know why it has this reputation. It's a quad with a small amount of chocolate. It's laughable this used to demand beers far superior to this. Meh, its average.
Edit: This beer was much better on draft when sampled at Bailey's Range in St. Louis at the beginning of 2014.

A- Pours a very deep brown, pretty much black in color, with a small, 1 finger head. Head is frothy and creamy looking and retains a little while. Lacing is pretty good.
S- Dark fruits and chocolate are the dominant scents in this beer. The chocolate flavors are semisweet in nature and fairly strong.
T- Starts off with some strong dark fruit flavors that remind me somewhat of raspberries. Then the chocolate takes over almost the entirety of the flavor until the end. Chocolate goes from sweet and creamy to more of a chocolate truffle flavor that borders on more fruity. The truffle flavor is the lingering taste after the drink ends.
M- Thick and creamy and borderline decadent to drink. The alcohol is undetectable through the strong chocolate and dark fruit flavors. Very smooth and dangerously drinkable, this beer is a real treat as far as feel goes.
Overall, this beer lives up to its name. From the smell to the taste, right down to the quad base flavors combining with the chocolate to create a truffle flavor, this beer is slightly sweet and very rich.
