Appearance: The beer pours a pale, hazy gold, with a fine white head that leaves nice lacing as it dissipates.
Smell: The nose features a combination of floral and lemony citrus, together with a hint of that Belgian yeast spiciness that we love so much.
Taste: The aroma continues in the mouth, but now the citrus from the hops takes a more prominent role. It’s nicely balanced with the black pepper flavors, a dash of coriandr and a subtle earthiness.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is pretty interesting. Overall, it’s crisp as a result of the medium to high carbonation. However, there’s a depth to it as well, which simultaneously makes it almost creamy in the mouth.
Drinkability: Quite high. Unfortunately I’m drinking it on a rainy and unseasonably cold day, but this strikes me as a perfect beer for summer.

Served on-tap at Hunger N Thirst.
A - Pours slightly murky orange with a nice one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving thin sheets of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of bready yeast, black pepper, banana, dash of fruit and some earthy hops. A traditional Belgian saison for sure.
T - Starts off with some mild black pepper spice quickly being joined by the bready malt and fruity yeast and finally the banana and light earthy hop bitterness. Finish is a little sweet with plenty of chewiness, lingering long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, effervescent feel with only a faint hint of booze as it warms up.
O - A nice example of a traditional Belgian saison. It has just enough to keep me coming back for more.

Poured into a Gavroche tulip. Pours a cloudy light straw amber with a huge white head; a careful pour produced a half glass of foam. After settling, left massive, pillowy lacing. Mild aroma of saison yeast, apple, pear and light stone fruit, mild citrus, spicy. Flavor is also subdued, but reveals interesting flavors gradually. Starts with light stone fruit and apple, light Belgian yeast, coriander, then dries out a bit revealing more coriander, floral light fruit and light citrus. The finish is light fruit, moderate spice bitterness and a bit of caramel that is surprising in the semi-dry finishing flavors. Light to medium bodied with nice peppery carbonation. A subtle, but complex hybrid of light Belgian ale and saison; both yeast styles seem to show their presence during the taste. Fruit is mellow, but complex with apple and citrus family fruit all in the mix. Very nicely done and a pleasure to drink. I buy saisons with trepidation because some are too wild yeast forward and tart for my taste, but this is the kind of brew that convinces me to keep trying. Excellent. I have really enjoyed everything from this brewery and look forward to their other ales.

Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, earth, grass, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, grass, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a high amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a fairly intense hop bitterness that I wasn't expecting for the style.
