A Well, this is purposefully under-carbonated, so it pours extremely still and dark brown; it looks like iced coffee and though it doesn't look like beer normally does, it still looks dark and inviting--let's do this
S: The rye whiskey character and the oak barrels are the most prevalent but so are dark cherries, sweet roasted malts, brown sugar, molasses, raisins, prunes; man, this smells so good
T: Again, I will mention that this is barely carbonated and that that was the intention but it is the first thing you notice--though once you get past that, the flavors are actually even more intense: rye whiskey; dry oakiness that not only plays off the rye whiskey but off the malts; coffee and chocolate and then come those dark fruits: raisins, cherries; and it finishes off with a slightly sweet almost molasses quality
F: Hard to rate this; it still obviously but it still has a nice creamy and fairly full texture
O: Man, this is a solid beer; I will try to snag a couple more of these; although this is an amazing smelling and tasting beer, I knock the overall experience slightly because of the lack of carbonation; I know it is intentional but with just a bit more, this beer would be out of this world
