Picked this up from the brewer himself, Fritz Wülfing. This bottle has been in the cellar for about a year. Beautiful black pour with a two finger caramel colored head with great retention and lacing. Sweet roasty nose with hints of cocoa, booze, dark chocolate, and some subtle smoke and citrus hops. The taste is rich and bold. Loads of roasty espresso and dark chocolate along with a subtle sweetness. Nicely rounded out with hints of molasses, black coffee, pine, and a touch of dark fruit. The mouthfeel is thick and rich with a tangy, bitter, and subtly creamy finish. Overall this is an exceptional Imperial Stout that stands out from the pack. Especially considering it's a one man operation. Keep up the good work Fritz!

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dirty brown head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with notes of bitter black chocolate and light green hops notes. Taste is a mix between medium roasted malt notes with some bitter black chocolate with light lactose notes and some light green hops notes at the end. Body is quite full with somewhat of a creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Not the most extreme version of the style but still well done and quite enjoyable.
