Went to the Sunset for the first time in maybe eight years this past weekend for the Shorts tapping. I went on a Saturday afternoon, so the place was filled with brunch people. Even so finding parking is a bear. Try public transit if you can. It will also make you smile once you see the beer menu. A lot of 20 somethings and some families. The food was good not great. My wife had a burrito that she enjoyed. I had a veggie burger--store bought, and the fries were actually really good. The food prices were very reasonable. The beer list as anyone will tell you is amazing. This is arguably the best place to get a draft beer in Boston. One hundred taps and few bad beers. The fact that Shorts chose here to have their tasting should tell you enough. The prices were actually cheap for drafts compared to other places around the city. The wait staff was very knowledgable about beer which was great. I would expect no less from this place. A lot has been said about the Sunset so I will leave it at this. If you want beer alone and hit up just one place in the city go here. If you want the food and beer experience go to RedBones. I am somewhat lucky I live far away from here, cause if I lived any closer I would be broke--hitting here every night. Yes, even without special weekends, the Sunset is that amazing. Boston's beer bar--go there.
