A: Super-hazy burnt orange(looks unfiltered). Nice creamy white 1-finger head that is very sticky leaving a great lacing.
S: Really faint. Not much other than a hop sting in the nose.
T: Mmmmm...Another hop-bomp in true west coast fasion. Lots of C-hops all in your grill, followed by a nice biscut malt backing.
M: You can look at the pint and tell its unfiltered and thick, even with that it is still surprisingly crisp.
D: Awsome. I wish they had better day time hours so I could come here more often!

Pours a very slightly hazy dark golden with a great head. Very tight, and with good retention and lacing. The smell is of earthy, meaty hops. That beefiness seems to be somewhat of a trademark of this brewery's highly hopped beers. The mouthfeel is a tad thin and watery, but the flavor is nice with a light apple fruitiness and very bitter citrus hops. Refreshing. The brewery had this listed at 6% abv,

08/11/07- Had on tap at the Bistro IPA Fest.
Presentation- Via the tap into taster glasses.
Appearance- Rusted orange colored pour, with a creamy small white head and excellent sheets of lace.
Smell- Chocolate? WTF?!?! Besides a handfull of grapefruit hops...I smell Coco Crisp cereal. I guess maybe they used some chocolate malt? I'm stumped here. It was a good smell though. A bit smoky as well.
Taste- I'll be damned if it doesn't taste like chocolate too. Roasted malt ball and coco flavor pairs with sweet grapefruit hops to give it an odd but very nice flavor. Chocolate covered grapefruit?
Mouthfeel- Nice mid-level carbonation rate with a short, but nice hop aftertaste.
Drinkability- I'll have to eventually call the brewery to see if they used some kind of chocolate malt here. Even my friend thought the same thing. Interesting for sure.
