A: Pale straw in color with moderate lacing and head.
S: Schlitz delivers much of what is to come in its bouquet: grain, hops, and banana.
T: A touch fruitier than other adjunct lagers, Schlitz holds otes of raw grain, sulfur, and a little hops.
M: light, clean, and well carbonated.
D: I feel that this brew is a step above other brews at this price point. It's not the best brew out there, but being widely available for 50 cents a can it's hard to turn down.

Sampling right now on 6/9/14. Bought a 6-pack last week for $5.89 at the Hy-Vee in Council Bluffs, Iowa...right next door. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a vintage 'Schlitz' glass. BA says it is 'retired' but guess they started making it again as the label says" Jos. Schiltz Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wis."
Pours a golden yellow in color with just a thin white head. Some spotty lacing is seen when sipped. Good carbonation. The aroma is mostly of grains and malt. The taste is about the same with some corn 'sweetness'. Actually goes now easy and isn't that bad. No bitter or harsh aftertaste for this old time brew.
