A - Generic golden been color, like Bud, Coors, Miller, etc. A smallish head with relatively weak retention; quickly becomes a layer of surface bubbles, then a ring of small bubbles. No lacing to speak of.
S - Not much smell at all. The slight presence of barley and corn was all that I got.
T - Very surprising taste, and in a good way. The taste of adjunct cereal grains are there (kind of like PBR, which I don't mind), along with the watery aluminum taste common to so many macro brews. But there is also a formidable malty flavor up front, like brown sugar or singed caramel. Not bad, not bad at all.
M - Mouthfeel is a bit watery, but not terrible.
D - The price and the smoothness of this beer mean that I could drink more than a few of these.
Another surprisingly drinkable adjunct lager from Pabst. It's nice to see that a decent six-pack is still obtainable for a reasonable price in this country. I'll pick this one up again the next time I'm a little strapped for cash, or just looking for a cheaper alternative with some actual flavor to it.

Sampling right now on 6/9/14. Bought a 6-pack last week for $5.89 at the Hy-Vee in Council Bluffs, Iowa...right next door. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a vintage 'Schlitz' glass. BA says it is 'retired' but guess they started making it again as the label says" Jos. Schiltz Brewing Company, Milwaukee, Wis."
Pours a golden yellow in color with just a thin white head. Some spotty lacing is seen when sipped. Good carbonation. The aroma is mostly of grains and malt. The taste is about the same with some corn 'sweetness'. Actually goes now easy and isn't that bad. No bitter or harsh aftertaste for this old time brew.
