16 oz can into a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy orange color with pulp seemingly floating around. The head is about a finger high with an off-white shade. It has retention and a texture similar to soda: in other words, awful. Could be a contender for the Ugliest Beer Evah.
S: There is a strong wheat smell similar to a hefeweizen...only it doesn't work for some reason. It's overly hay-like and stale. The yeast is rubbing me the wrong way. In fact, it's drowning out the fruit juice notes I may have also liked. Man, it's not looking good for this one, is it?
T: Now I'm getting more of a fruit juice quality - to me, akin to a blend of orange, grapefruit, and cranberry juices. There seems to be a disconnect between the fruitiness and the wheat beer-y finish. In addition, it's fairly tart throughout (this is my favorite feature). It's not really bad tasting, just imbalanced.
M: This drinks exactly like fruit juice - same sweet and sugary body, same full texture, same pulpy tartness. Even if its via 'cheating' methods, it *is* rather rich for 3.2%. But here's the real problem: it's not refreshing going down.
O: Not a fan, unfortunately. This is a style I'll have to give another chance, because I think I might really enjoy a good radler. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem integrated that well. Will not be returning to this one, that's for sure.

A - Super hazy orange, like orange juice. Thick, white head.
S - Tart citric juice, grapefruit, zest, pils yeast.
T - WAY more tart than I was expecting. Could be a good or a bad thing, depending how much you like tartness. Heavy, fresh grapefruit juice follows the tartness, along with all of its bitter glory, and all-malt pils in the back with flavors like banana and wheat. At first I was kinda turned off, but the more I drink, the more I enjoy it. Definitely fulfills it's purpose: a refreshing summer crusher, but lacks depth.
M - Like carbonated orange juice minus some of the clingy sugars.
O - Expected this to be a better radler than Stiegl, and it is in my book (but only slightly). However, I will buy Stiegl over this, because it is drastically cheaper. I will enjoy the rest of the 4-pack on the lawnmower or by the pool.
