The Mad Scientists kept tweakin' that Jammer till it rocked so hard. Bygone brewers repping the Sixpoint star provided the concept and our friends at Jacobsen Salt hooked us up with the key ingredient. It's salty, it's sour, and it's slammin.' It's Mad Science.

Re-review of Jammer 2.0.

The beer comes in a crystal clear rich gold color.

The aroma offers a touch of tart, some salt water, a intense coriander, a light crackery malt, and wheat. In general, an inviting and crisp aroma.

The flavor offers a rush of coriander up front that slowly lingers away. A light to medium minus tart then emerges, unlike 1.0. The beer moves along to this beautiful malt body, which is light and biscuity with a touch of sweetness, some wheat grains, with reminders of a crisp Czech pilsner. The finish offers a wonderful balance of salinity that shows it is there, while on the verge of being overstated. The malt body and salt combine to create a refreshing experience.

A huge improvement on the previous iteration. However, still definitely not a "tart" beer per se, even compared to the traditional Ritterguts gose, and more towards being a refreshing salted beer like Off Color's Troublesome.

Canned last August, which explains the blowout price point ($9/15 pack). Oh well; it lists a best by date of this coming August. Guess I'm in luck. *pops the top* This is _real_ friggin' light all around, but it's kind of what I expected from 125 calories and it really hits the spot all hot and sweaty after walking the dog. I'm kind of confused by the nutrition facts on the label, though: 7g of fat? That can't possibly be right. Maybe it's .7? Do I need new glasses? Is this even a beer review anymore?

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 2 finger off white head that receded to a wispy cap; OK lacing;

S: not much aroma; mild coriander and the slightest hint of salt;

T: almost no flavor as well; a touch of coriander toward the end with a bit of saltiness through the aftertaste;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: pretty close to drinking water;

Aroma is of salt, and tartness. Pours a slightly cloudy straw, with a quickly fading white head. Light bodied beer, with a bright tart note, and a touch of salt. The light body makes this a very drinkable beer, and a good one on a summer day, or after a workout.
