Pours a clear orange caramel color with a solid half inch cream head that lingers as a pool of foam. Floaties appear after the last pour.
Grapefruit, cat pee, and dank marijuana with a bit of resin and musty basement begin the aroma. There's an underlying caramel malt character, which is slightly bready.
Bready caramel malt greets the palate initially, followed by an onslaught of bitterness, which is complemented by strong grapefruit and orange tartness that lingers throughout. Subsequent sips reveal the dominance of the citrus and bitter hops. Notes of pineapple and resin emerge.
Body is moderate, with a moderate amount of carbonation, and a dry, slightly astringent finish. There's an acrid, almost burnt malt character that hits in the aftertaste.
Overall, a fairly bitter example of the style. Hops are more complex in aroma than flavor. One of the more bold offerings I've had from sixpoint.
