I had this outstanding IPA at a dinner sponsored by Slow Food this evening in Cold Spring Harbor, NY and I was pleased to have had two pints off a tap.
The first pint was handed to me with a bubbly 2" head on it with a golden orange coloring below. The robust smell of grapefruit and hops reminded me of the Blue Point Cask festival's No Apologies. The taste was very smooth and full of a deepness of malts that made going for round two so easy. The citrus snap in the aftertaste reminded me of the ale's history.
I drank this as a perfect compliment to a dinner of sausages and mashed potatoes.

$ 1.99/12 oz can at Vintage Estates, Boardman, OH
Can BB 08May15 at 40 degrees into standard pint glass
Head small (2 cm), off white, frothy, slowly diminishing to a broken 2 - 4 mm layer
Lacing excellent – complete thick rings and stalactites of mostly small bubbles
Body medium yellow, hazy
Flavor begins with a fairly light piney hop presence which fades to a somewhat chalky bitterness with a short hang time. No malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate medium, slightly oily, lively carbonation
Another pretty good beer from Sixpoint.
