16oz can, best by February 17, 2013. Served at around 40-45F.
Pours hazy copper with a two finger white head that leaves clumpy drippy webs of lacing.
Unique aroma features pine, peach/apricot, mango, spice, banana, caramel and bread, estery, wheat like, interesting as it comes across as a wheat IPA or Belgian IPA, but I don’t think that’s what they were going for. Very good strength in the aroma.
Flavor follows suit, pine, apricot, spice, fruity, rather malty with a strong caramel backbone, bready, some alcohol, mild sweetness, decent bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium-plus bodied, sticky, good carbonation.
Interesting IPA. Give it credit for being unique, although far from my favorite in the style.
Serving type: can
