the beer has thick head and clear yellow body light carbonation.
smells like an imperial Pilsener rich sweet malty/hay like to me then it adds spicy pine kick that lingers faint on my nose.
Very drinkable light taste then nice long pine needle taste.
Note I forgot to mention this before there is a near my town that made a very pine spruce beer Ode To A Russian Shipwright which is strangely called an American Porter on Beer advocate not sure why since if anything it beer an English Porter at very least.
But I like this beer because it has nice lingering taste but is malty sweet than is not too sweet. I can't tell what hops are in this but I would say this oddly reminds me of another NYC beer Brooklyn IPA an English IPA. I strongly suspect English Yeast it has that english velvet feel going down.
Impression Good but I think NYer's who thought this was like Surly are wrong interesting but leaves me dry I need another beer :) Not this

Poured a pale orange body with a big, frothy head that left lace down the glass. A strong citric and floral hop smell. An easy to drink IPA that is simple with a mix of light citric hops and some caramel malt to balance with sweetness. Lighter-bodied IPA that passes smoothly but does kick in with a little dry backbite. I'd have another of these although nothing special here.
Had this beer a second time almost five years late in July, 2014 and poured a reddish gold with two finger head and lace ring down glass. Citric hop aroma is prevalent and the beer is smooth, light, easy to drink, balanced with citric hops and touch of grape and caramel sweet malts. Excellent finish that makes this beer a must-have.

Fantastic. The beer pours a nice orange/yellow with a nice head that trails the glass. The smell had a lot of great hop notes to it while also getting a little bit of sweetness from the malt. The taste was similar with pine and floral notes from the hops and then a mellow crisp finish. A very well balanced beer that made for a delicious experience. Would definitely recommend.
