Craft beer in a can CRAFT BEER IN A CAN!
Not just any can, either.
Craft beer in a PINT CAN (it comes in pints).
Local, and fresh, at that.
As you may have guessed, I was quite excited to see Sixpoint product available in a Whole Foods I frequent; actually, that place tends to have a growler tap with some Sixpoint ale or another available but you get what I mean. They also had Sweet Action and I think it was Righteous Ale in cans (the Tribeca Whole Foods in NYC).
To the beer!
Very fragrant on the pour with boatloads of citrus hops. I saw the cans referred to as microkegs on Sixpoint's facebook page and that's kinda what it tastes like coming out of the can. Tastes like fresh beer from a keg or even a cask. There is a cask-i-ness to the profile of Bengali Tiger. The rye notes in the flavor highlight that idea. Dry, crackery rye (minus caraway) with a lemon seltzer buzz/fizz on the tongue. Light and dry bodied, lemon-lime hops with edges of herbs.
Refreshingly different from most of the IPAs out there. Plenty enjoyable and tasty without having to compare it to anything else. I will be getting this again.

Poured a pale orange body with a big, frothy head that left lace down the glass. A strong citric and floral hop smell. An easy to drink IPA that is simple with a mix of light citric hops and some caramel malt to balance with sweetness. Lighter-bodied IPA that passes smoothly but does kick in with a little dry backbite. I'd have another of these although nothing special here.
Had this beer a second time almost five years late in July, 2014 and poured a reddish gold with two finger head and lace ring down glass. Citric hop aroma is prevalent and the beer is smooth, light, easy to drink, balanced with citric hops and touch of grape and caramel sweet malts. Excellent finish that makes this beer a must-have.

Fantastic. The beer pours a nice orange/yellow with a nice head that trails the glass. The smell had a lot of great hop notes to it while also getting a little bit of sweetness from the malt. The taste was similar with pine and floral notes from the hops and then a mellow crisp finish. A very well balanced beer that made for a delicious experience. Would definitely recommend.
