A - Pours a slightly hazy orangish-brown with one finger of off-white head. Head doesn't persist to long, but leaves some nice lacing.

S - Nice mix of pine and citrus hops, with bread malts and a bit of caramel.

T - Nice punch of hop bitterness. Quite piney and resiny, with a good dose of citrus thrown in. Nice bread malts provide some balance for the quite bitter hop presence, along with some caramel. Very nice, especially with the modest abv.

M - Medium mouthfeel is quite bitter and dry, despite the decent malt presence. Quite creamy as well.

O - This one seems to be pretty devisive for some reason, but I found it to be an enjoyable American/English IPA hybrid with a nice aggressive hop presence.

Pours cloudy orange amber with a massive 2 finger foamy just off white head that faded slowly, leaving excellent lacing and foamy rings as it went down; looks great with all the rings as it goes down.

Smells of grapefruit, pineapple, juicy oranges, citrus hops, floral hops, sweet malt, piney hops, grains, wheat bread and light caramel; huge hops up front in the nose, which is really potent and inviting, yet tamed a little by the malt. Nose starts off American IPA and finishes like an English IPA.

Burst of massive hops, citrus, floral and piney, followed by grains, sweet malt, biscuit, caramel, herbs, tea leaf or hop leafs, then the citrus flavors kick in with grapefruit, tangerine, orange, lemon and some serious bitterness that masks the spices and ABV quite well while still keeping the nice balance between the hops and the malts. Very tasty and balanced, this has a very potent herbal hop flavor which was very enjoyable.

Creamy slick mouthfeel, this went down very easy with light carbonation, a medium body and a nice sweet hoppy bitter finish that’s almost dry and clean.

Had this many times over the past few years and I will seek this out again and again as it lived up to the original hype, and keeps on proving to be a great local product in the NYC area. Extra points for being so good out of a can and damn easy to drink.

I like this offering of an American IPA. When One thinks IPA you are prepared for a front load of hops and dry finish. American IPA's like to really get aggressive with the hops which is something I personally like.

This offering from Sixpoint switches that up on the drinker in a really positive way. The front end of this beer has a great, sweet malty smell in a well developed head. The mouth feel is excellent and the finish is what really makes this beer stand out-Sixpoint got this right. The finish brings you from the malty body to a great citrus hop finish, real clean and very tasty. This IPA is one that deserves to be consumed alone without any pairing assistance from food.

Can. Best Before 19 NOV 2012. Poured in to pint glass.

A - Hazy medium orange colour with lots of sediment floating throughout. One finger of cream coloured head with good retention and good lacing.

S - Sweet caramel, grapefruit and some pine. Well balanced with a really good bitterness.

T - Moderate bitterness up front with grapefruit and pine flavors. A nice caramel malt backbone in the middle followed by a bitter, dry finish.

M - Medium body and full of nice hop resin. Light carbonation.

This was my review of the draft version of the beer:

I like sixpoint's beers in general but this one is a typical east coast India Pale Ale that is not as good as the typical west coast style. There's just not enough India in it. As a pale ale it's good but if you're in the mood for something more bitter, this is not the one.

I had this again and liked it a lot better and adjusted my review accordingly. This is really a good ipa.

Cask version is also very good but not as hoppy as either the draft of can version. Overall a very good beer.
