A-Cloudy orange, some carbonation with a one finger head.

S-Floral and citrus hops, wheat with orange and lemon notes as well.

T-Rather malty, good deal of wheat, orange and lemon as well. Not much bitterness, but some. Balance is off. Also some bread and butter notes.

M-Medium bodied with nice carbonation.

O-Never would have thought this was a cream ale. The hops do not balance with the malt, which was the main drawback to me.

355ml Can from Crystal Palace Wetherspoons, Glasgow (£2.49):
Caramel amber in colour with a thumb-sized, foamy white head that seems quite creamy once it settles. Some lacing & good retention.

Sweet malts & some subdued hops on the nose although the smell is definitely a very light on with only a few faint floral notes, some light caramel and even fainter still, some sweet fruits too.

Sweet with some malts that hint at caramel, some sweet fruits and a touch of bitterness coming through. There is some further caramel & biscuit flavours with a few lager hops.

Creamy but with a thinner body than I was expecting, it was probably light medium at best but it was exceptionally smooth and quite easy to drink with low carbonation and a wet finish.

Average but drinkable with the sweet and creamy feel being a highlight for me. The main problem was that both the taste & the smell seemed too light and basic for me. I'll stick with Bengali Tiger over this one every time.

I've always loved the Six Point branding. Good looking cans, basic beer stats along the bottom, 16 ounces. Poured into my nonic imperial pint glass. Here we go!

The beer is a dark golden hue with somewhat of a semi-filtered look. Some visible particles floating around around giving it a rustic, homebrew type of bravado. I like it. Downside is there is very little head that leaves no lacing...maybe I didn't clean my glass we'll enough.

The aroma is fairly basic. Seemingly equal parts hops and malt (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) along with some yeast.

The flavor is where Sweet Action shines. A fantastically balanced beer with a very interesting and strong apricot note. A very clean finish with a green hop finish. Delicious.

Mouthfeel is full for the style (cream ale? I suppose...) and luscious. Velvety and we'll crafted. A standout for a beer of sessionable strength.

Sweet Action is an old friend. A very good, session beer that defies genre. That's fine by me, as the result is a distinctly delicious brew.

Poured in a pint glass from a can

A - light amber color, can barely see through the beer.

S - very subtle smell, vague hop smell but not much to the nose

M - the feel goes great with the style, very creamy and unexpectedly thick.

T- this beer is very smooth, not a lot of different flavored going on just a good light sweet malt flavor with a hint of hops that give it a nice citrus finish.

Overall - this beer is a great "session" beer, definitely at the top of its style. One could drink several of these the only negative may be the price point at 9.99 for 4-16 oz cans. This one will be part of my regular rotation.
