16oz. can poured into a tulip.
(A)- Pours pitch black color. Some superb tan froth formed that stuck around for quite some time. Tons of lacing left behind too.
(S)- A big kick of dry, almost nutty citrus. Behind that are hints of some serious roasted malts.
(T)- A really nice yet mellow roasted malt and nut profile. Finishes dry, but with a fresh burst of bitter citrus.
(M)- A good carbonation level and balance. Great citrus profile combined with the mellow roastedness. Quite smooth actually despite its large hop addition; its more citrus-like than bitter really.
(O)- I like this, its a solid beer. Its not exactly the most "Stout-like" example I have seen, but the hops just are that much forward to almost have this feel and taste more like an American Black Ale / Black IPA to me.
