A: I Poured this beer from a 16oz. can into a 500ml beer stein. It came out a murky brown, the color of molasses, with a frothy ecru head that left a good deal of lacing.
S: One can most definitely detect the rye, with a sweet, almost melon-y malt backbone. Juicy, almost tropical fruit notes with some grain to fill it out. Complex and inviting.
T: This beer has a wealth of flavors going on, and their well-balanced enough to blend together well. Some stay hidden unless you look for them. Bready and malty on the tongue, with a melon side-flavor in the mouth, and a crisp, rye swallow. The after-taste has just enough bite to wipe most of the sweetness out of your mouth. This has very light hints of tropical Starburst in amongst the grainy, malty mid-section. Good character, and an intriguing flavor, especially as it warms.
M: A bit chewy, but overall light without being a pushover, and clingy at the end without being syrupy. A good balance.
O: There's lots to this beer, especially if you let it warm up a bit before drinking it straight down. A peculiar balance between fruit-cocktail-sweet and rye-bread bite. A treat, to say the least.

Poured this beer from the 16oz can. It has a light brown color body with a thick head. The aroma is spicy of rye and with a slight hop aroma. The taste has a rye forward flavor with a pine hop taste on the back of the tongue. Mouthfeel is smooth and overall a very tasty beer.
