A - amazing head retention, especially for what was a mostly flat beer, 1.5 fingers high and a slightly amber colour. body is a very nice golden honey colour, with some light orange hues. bud definitely an overall colour of deep golden honey. Good lacing.
S - very fragrant! nose is like a pineapple mango amalgam. very fruity with some light malt sweetness at the end of it all. the nose is simple and very direct, but it is so pungent and succulent that it brings itself back up.
T - a boozy, hoppy, banana-grapefruit taffy like explosion; serious sweetness with this beer! the primary taste is grapefruit, which is the name of the game with this beer; the hops come out in this great combination of grapefruit and citrus sweetness and bitterness of citrus rind. the sweetness is not really malt, but more of a candied fruit rind. the finish is a very mild and lingering, especially for such an intensely fruity beer. a tad of hop spices and a bit of dry alcohol, all make a good finish. the aftertaste is hoppy bitters with some slight grapefruit characters, and a slight malt presence. some dynamism besides the extreme fruity character would have been good.
MF&D - there was basically no carbonation in the beer, but I assume that is what happens when a beer is casked. the slight amount of carbonation in the beer does nothing to hide the fully medium body.
