Beautiful, solid black brew with a firm tan head. Great retention and nice lacing.

Aroma is all espresso and roasted barley - burnt malts and dark cacao. Almost no fruitiness sneaks through.

Flavor is heavily influenced by the coffee, which is by far the dominant flavor. Smooth, creamy coffee, roasted malts, very dark cacao, and a bit of dark fruit (not enough to even slightly sour the flavor). Delicious.

Smooth, oily feel; right in the medium/medium-full range. No alcohol heat at all; minor sting; fairly lively while silky. Slightly dry finish.

This is a fantastic coffee porter. It is unabashed in what it's aiming for, and it nails the target perfectly.

Served on tap at Track 84, Warwick, RI

A: pours to a very dark color, with a substantial head that stood up to time.

S: Could smell the sweetness, not sure of the coffee smell so much

T: smooth and very drinkable. very little bitterness both during and after

M: good carbonation throughout with a nice tongue-feel

O: Will order again and will try to find in my local craft beer supplier. One of my faves.

Delicious. And just how I like my occasional coffee. Gotta keep this short leaving for vacation, but quite simply one of the best beers I've had this year.

Coffee, cream and sugar. With notes of chocolate and even a nice hop presence making this a little at bitter at times. But mostly sweet beautiful coffee, did I mention cream and sugar? Yes, please.

Outstanding. Get some? No get more.

So happy to finally cross paths with this beer.

Deep dark brown with a good sized fluffy light brown head.

The beer released a soft aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and light coffee. Not incredibly fragrant which mislead me a little.

The taste had a huge blast of rich, bold coffee. I really didn't expect such a robust combination of chocolate and coffee with a tinge of bitter roasted malt on the finish after the way it smelled. Mouthfeel had some weight to it but was thin enough to make this beer easily drinkable. Carbonation was spot on. This beer is such a well made coffee porter and at this point it's hard to find something better in flavor. Highly recommended for fans of that style. Sixpoint delivers as usual.

A - Pitch black in color with a nice finger of tan head at the top that left a nice sticky lacing around the glass.

S - Chocolate, coffee and slight hint of honey.

T - A great taste of coffee throughout this one, slight hints of chocolate and nice sweet malts.

M - A medium body, very minimal carbonation, well balanced.

D -Awesome beer! Sixpoint is starting to really move up my list, was very surprised with this brew, fantastic!

I will just cut to the chase...it was superb!
Smells of coffee, tastes of coffee...
Really tastey, smooth, balanced, and delicious. It is an amazing brew that should not be passed up!

Just got a growler of this from my main man BeerTruth. Coffee brews are pretty much my favorite and I’ve heard great things about this one. Drank from my Surly AHA Rally pint glass.

Appearance- Pours a dark brown with a hugely beautiful and fluffy dark khaki head. A great cap and collar remains the entire beer along with a ton of webbed lacing.
Smell- Really deep and earthy smelling as obviously the coffee is super potent and dominate. A tiny bit of something sweet smelling behind all that coffee as both chocolate and vanilla peek through. Like all coffee beers the nose isn’t all that diverse but this one smells damn good.
Taste- A smack of lightly bitter, light acidic coffee right from the get go. It’s espresso like in its intensity and really has that sort of dank earthiness that you get from a fresh shot. It’s sort of quenching and dry which I love. The coffee is really dominate but the finish shows notes of dark chocolate and almost a light woody tannic thing. Really the coffee just lingers and lingers though. So good.
Mouthfeel- Smooth as freaking silk. Nice hefty body that’s so smooth and lightly dry.
Drinkability- Amazing beer here. I like this more than Surly Coffee Bender and Shorts Cup O’ Joe. That’s saying something too because both those brews are two of my favorites. They say a pint of this is equal to 2 shots of espresso but no matter – I could easily drop a growler of this stuff. Thanks very much Adam, amazing amazing beer!!

32 ounce growler
Served in a becker glass

L - It pours pitch black. It is topped with an inch of tan head with little lacing.

S - The smell is great. I get dark chocolate, coffee, and vanilla.

T - The taste is much the same; however, the coffee is muted and it is a bit cloying. It is sweet with chocolate and vanilla.

F - Medium to thin for a porter

O - It is a tasty beer. It started out great, but eventually came across as sweet. I like it for a single serving.

Wow, holy coffee Batman! Great roasted coffee flavor and bitterness, like a Starbucks bold poured into a stout. Very tasty indeed.

Black porter with pepperish fresh smell, the taste had a dash of pepper not overwhelming taste. This was an underwhelming beer. Looking forward to other sixpoint beers but this disappointed
