11/09/11 on Tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. I thought heavy water was limited to nuclear reactors. This stuff tastes OK but defies the "a pint is a pound the world around" axiom. I was hoping to have a nightcap with a higher ABV but this one just might put the kabosh on that. Taste good, just a bit stodgy.

On tap poured into a pint glass.

Pours a hazy orange color with a small white head
Nose is sweet and a bit wheaty and fresh hoppiness.

Taste is crisp and fresh, good carbonation with a sharp finish. Mouth feel is light with a nice fruity bitter finish.

I had this on-tap at Max's. Poured into a sample glass.

Appearance: Pours a very cloudy yellow with a layer of white head that fades fast.

Smell: Extremely faint. There is some wheat, but that's about it.

Taste: Crisp wheat and yeast. Very mild citrus notes. There isn't nearly enough flavor here.

Mouthfeel: Medium body, the carbonation is very tingly, the finish is slightly dry.

Overall: There really wasn't a whole lot to this beer. The mild flavor and smell was pleasant enough, but didn't keep me interested. I don't mind beers with mild flavors, but I need something interesting.

This is a very tasty and complex wit. The pour is a cloudy amber with a very thin head. The aroma has a little more with each sniff. At first, mostly bread and yeast, but then I get some orange and lemon along with some spice. The flavor follows with a bit of wheat and bread, then some orange, even some nuttiness. I get a bit of oatmeal in there too. Sounds a bit strange but it works. Medium bodied with a very nice refreshing quality.

I can't believe it took this long for me try a beer from sixpoint. Pours a hazy deep gold. Smells yeasty, of wheat, and of summer. Taste is a solid wit taste. Wheat and funky yeast flavors. Mouthfeel is a bit acidic not bad though. This is a very drinkable summer beer. Overall, one of my favorites of the summer

Picked up a growler of this earlier today at the Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room in Manhattan.

A - This beer pours a hazy golden orange color. It has a small 1-finger white head on it. The head dissipates fairly fast and, leaves just a few specs of lacing behind.

S - It has a big smell of coriander and citrus. Maybe a bit of wheat. Mostly just the spice and oranges.

T - I am getting a lot of the coriander and orange peel right off the bat. There is a nice wheat background, and I am getting a little bit of banana flavor. The finish has a little bit of a dryness to it, as well as some lingering spice notes.

M - This has a medium body and good carbonation. It goes down good and it has a nice smooth feel to it. There is some tingling on the tongue from the spices. It is really refreshing and great for a hot summers day.

O - This has great drinkability. I could sit outside and throw these back all day long. A nice refreshing witbier on a hot summer day. It has a nice body to it for a wit and the coriander and citrus are balanced well by the wheat backbone. I recommend giving it a try if you get the chance.

Had this beer on tap at a sandwich shop in Brooklyn. Hot scorching day and this really hit the spot. Server said it's brewed very limited for the summer hence the word Brevity. Ahhh hah. My beer came to me a deep hazy gold. Almost a hefeweizen appearance. Big banana and clove nose. Super tart and dry. Some hop aroma. Very quenching and just what the doctor ordered on a hot day.

I AM IN TO THE WHOLE BREVITY THING
