A-Pours a clear median between copper and orange. No haze whatsoever. Head starts off huge and then dies down to a thin layer. As it flattens out, it leaves a ridiculous amount of lacing. Looks flat out gorgeous.
S-Whoa those 74 IBUs really show up. Wet hopped all over the place. The nose is mostly sudsy and soapy. Then there are long notes of clementine and tangerine. The citrus hops sorta blend in with some pumpkin flesh notes. Green pumpkin vines. Light spice. Not a spice bomb in the nose.
T-The hops are sudsy and grassy. Vegetal pumpkin stalks are a predominant flavor. Very green and vegetal. Easily the most hop-forward Pump I have had. Literally like an Autumn spiced IPA. Light sprinkles of nutmeg and cinnamon. Almost a bit smoky? Really cool.
M-Cleanish. Medium bodied with softer carbonation. Dry and moderately bitter. Goes down quick. Booze hidden well.
O/D-I liked this a bunch. Pumpkin Ale? maybe not. Tasty Ale? Yes! Hoppy and different and fun. A Fall inspired IPA in my books. I think this one deserves much more credit for its originality and downright tastiness. Do the flavors clash a bit? Sure, but Sixpoint makes it work in premium fashion. Sixpoint tells stylistic guidelines to 'suck one'. That's cool with me.
