Muddy colored on the golden side with a fluffy and incredibly sticky head. Smell is hard to pick up, slightly fruity and a tad musty. Taste screams "Pilsner!" light and dry, tastes almost like a wheat beer. Some bitterness. No citrus, pine or anything else associated with ipas. Oleasant though. Medium bodied. Very nice but not your typical IPA

On Tap

Appearance - Slightly hazy gold colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is a good amount of lacing. The head lasted for 6 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Malts, caramel, hops, grass, corn husk

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, caramel and some hops. It also has a lot of herbal flavour.. corn husk and grass. There also seems to be a bit of a spice, perhaps cloves. It ends with a herbal and hoppy aftertaste.

Overall - Can't say that I've ever had an IPA that tasted quite like this one. While I definitely prefer the citrus based IPAs, I can still appreciate the originality of this beer. I would reach for something else next time though.

On-tap 2/17/2012 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains earthy hops, caramelized malts and some citrus.

T: The taste starts out with a bland hops bitterness followed by very faint sweet flavors of caramel citrus. The malt character is on the thin side for the style and there isn’t much balance. The after-taste is slightly bitter.

M: Crisp but not very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry but slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, good kick, decent representation of style, this is definitely not one of the better IPA’s that I’ve had.

Had this one on tap at Star and Shamrock on H street in DC. Drank with dinner while accompanied with the beautiful Tiffany. Served in a pint glass.

A - Typical golden hue of an IPA with moderate head.

S - Not much here at all. Slight caramel smell with very faint earthy hops.

T - Not much going on here. A bit of earthy hops and some spiciness, but really thin on flavors.

M - Good feel for this beer. The standout attribute.

O - disappointing. I've had several good beers by Six Point, this one definitely falls short.

Had on tap for the sixpoint tap takeover at j ryan's

A- pours a hazy light gold with a good creamy head of foam floating on the top of the brew. The immediate appearance looks as though the warrior hops will deliver with a pungent look

S- strong wheat and lemon lift from the initial scent. Spicey notes with some fresh cut grass are present as well

T- again a big wheat flavor meshed well with strong spicyness from the warrior hops. Flavor is thick on the palate and well represented with the warrior hops. Refreshing to say the least.

M- medium bodied and the flavor holds well on this. Lots of wheat Coates the mouth with the tingle of lemon flavors

O- great representation of concentrating on a single hop flavor. While the warrior hop doesn't blast the bitterness of other ipas, some unique flavors are delivered from the hop. I enjoyed this and am crossing my fingers that there will be more around

This poured out as a lightly hazy golden color. the head was average. The smell of the beer was hoppy with some citrusy notes to it. The taste of the beer wasn't too bad, it had hoppy flavors along with some tropical fruits which was decent. The mouthfeel of the beer was average at best I'd say. Overall this beer wasn't too bad, I wanted to try it and I'm glad I did. I wouldn't need to have it again though that's just how I fell about it though.
