Served in tulip pint.
Apricot colored body with a voluminous white frothy head of 3 fingers. Pretty nice retention and lacing. The head is really rocky and composed of microbubbles, as though this beer were served on-nitro.
Smells of lots of bready malt, piney resin, and some crisp citrusy hops-- I'm betting there's some simcoe up in here!
The taste is the same-- dry bready malt upfront with some pine, resin, and citrus hop notes. Some dry bitterness asserts itself on the finish, but not as much as I'd hoped. A little boozy alcohol warmth as it lingers.
Feels creamy and thick, again I'm reminded of a beer on nitro. Oiliness coats my teeth.
Overall-- not bad, but not one I'll be picking up regularly.
