12 oz. can poured into a tulip
A- Dark, golden honey, with some turbidity in the body. The head retains at a 1/2" with multiple rings of lacing by the end, and is just barely off-white in color.
S- Sweet malt background, sweet bread, with a resinous and citrusy hop character. Resin is the perfect name for this beer. A slight booze aroma is also in the nose.
T- Bready, slight caramel in the malt profile, followed by a big piney/resinous hop flavor.
M- Medium body, a little thick, with a sticky dry finish, however, not as dry and bitter as I was expecting in the finish. The bitterness in the feel, though, seems to mask the warmth and burn of the alcohol.
O- Very drinkable for a beer this size. Bitterness isn't an extreme, which I'm a big fan of. This is a great (and perfectly named) DIPA.

pours cloudy, dark orange, little to no head.
Smell is fruity as in apricot and peach. Some of the alcohol is picked up. Bubble gum. Light vanilla scent as well.
The name of the beer tells the tale of the first taste. Resinous, bitter bite along with caramel and slight toffee and a little alcohol burn. A bit of peppery spice. Heavy hop bitterness dominates this one. maybe some of the floral variety.
Thick and heavy mouthfeel. very long finish. Medium carbonation.
Im not sure how I feel about this one. Its heavy and bitter for sure but tough to pick up on much more. It does have the malt balance. I prefer some more citrus in my DIPAs but this is ok for a change up. tough to have more than one in a sitting. Would have again but not going to go looking for this one.

On tap at the Local Taphouse during Sixpoint AleStars session.
Pours a pale golden colour. White webbed bubbly head. Lace is nice and clingy. Looks OK.
Smells lovely. Sherbet with rosewater, lychee and lime. Musky, chalky, vanilla. Sweet, tangy, resiny, good.
Taste is resinous, pretty much from the start. Touch of caramel malt, with some vanilla notes. Resins come on midway, big and developing more bitterness on the back, big and resinous but never quite reaches that horrible ashiness, just huge resin flavour without the ashy bitterness. Quite amazing.
Body decently full. Bit of pull from the hops and quite a big booze note. OK.
Very impressive IPA character, enormous without the palate crushing edge. Beautiful.
