5 months outside of the best by so I don’t know where that falls, but seems reasonable enough to drink.
Poured fairly aggressively into a Struise glass giving way to a big white head and a orange/coppery colored beer that is clear and has lots of carbonation going on.
You get the namesake deep dank and resinous piney hop smell but there is also some big sweeter orange fruit with orange, peach, cantaloupe, and grapefruit going on. Herbal, a little spicy, and a little biscuity as well.
The taste is wonderful. It follows the nose with a big resinous pine and sweeter fruit character of peach and orange. It gets herbally as well. Some crackery biscuit type of malt character. Interesting.
Drinks fairly smooth and the bitterness isn’t too great. This is an interesting DIPA.

Purchased from the packey best by 05092015.
A: cloudy yellow with a thin ring of bubbles, that lacing hangs around forever.
S: Middle roasted malts, spicy resinous pine needles with bitter citrus. Mild peppery yeast and everything just blends well. Very well presented IPA notes.
T: Follows nose. The mild weediness, pine and citrus peek up and stay up. bitter-orangy-grapefruity finish.
M: Semi-creamy, coating well with a smooth, velvety finish. Some signficant bitter notes poke up and subside in the dry, creamy finish. It is a HUGE finish on the dry and bitter side.
O: Give me more of THIS. Between citrus, bitter, dry, and pine....this is a balance on the edge of too much. But it is not.
