Hazy copper-orange pour with 1 finger of off-white head. No retention and some light, faint lace rings.
The aroma rises up from the glass as you pour the beer. Impressive. Hits a full 2 feet away. Bread malt, hibiscus, orange peel, light apricot all combine well. I like it.
A little bready up front, but gives way to a nice fruit hop finish. Hop oil definitely plays a part. Floral hops make their presence known mid-palate. Taste doesn't quite live up to the nose, but still quite good.
Feel is oily and slick. A bit on the heavy side, but I think they hit their mark.
A very nice DIPA. Worth seeking out.

A: Hazy, dark copper colored-beer with a white head. I get a good amount of lace; the head dissipates pretty quickly.
S: Smells are a fabulous melding of fragrant floral and citrus hops plus rich, caramel maltiness. I could happily smell this all day long...
T: The taste has a sharp bitterness of the citrus/fruity hops, as in grapefruits, but also has the malty caramel flavors noted in the aroma.
M: Full-bodied, the beer finishes with the same themes of resinous (ha!) hops and malt undertones.
O: Bold DIPA with a great balance -- loved it!
