12oz. can into a Duvel tulip (best by 7/10/13
A: It has an extremely thick head that goes from 3 fingers to 1 finger pretty quickly, but after that the head is quite stable and you could probably float a penny on it. However, there is quite a bit of suspended sediment throughout. The dark amber color is a bit hazy/cloudy. Lacing is ok but spotty.
S: Smells like a very strong IPA that is heavy on the grapefruit and citrus, with a bit of light pine.
T: It is all pine and resin, but I guess should have been expecting that with a name like RESIN. Really tastes like the Pacific Northwest. Surprisingly, the aftertaste is pretty mellow, but all piney resin as you would expect. However, it will ruin your palate. There really isn't any nuance here, just the single flavor note.
M: The mouthfeel is very smooth with little carbonation.
O: I am finding that I prefer more of the citrus, grapefruit-y IPAS. I don't want to say it is like Ruination (because that is my favorite), but if you stripped away all the citrus and complexity of it, with a few less IBU's, then this would be that. However, I know a lot of people will like that it is a strong DIPA in a can.

A: Hazy, dark copper colored-beer with a white head. I get a good amount of lace; the head dissipates pretty quickly.
S: Smells are a fabulous melding of fragrant floral and citrus hops plus rich, caramel maltiness. I could happily smell this all day long...
T: The taste has a sharp bitterness of the citrus/fruity hops, as in grapefruits, but also has the malty caramel flavors noted in the aroma.
M: Full-bodied, the beer finishes with the same themes of resinous (ha!) hops and malt undertones.
O: Bold DIPA with a great balance -- loved it!
