12 fl oz. tall skinny can, with bottom of can reading "best before August 10, 2013". Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.
A - Pours a beautiful burnt sienna orange color with about one finger of doughy white head. Nice scattered lacing.
S - Peaches. Mango. Pineapple. Papaya. Light tropical fruit medley smells coming from the hops. Slight underlying booziness coming through from this beer's intense 9.10% abv.
T - Spicy bitterness packs a punch, as you would expect with a beer coming in at 103 IBU. Little bit of alcohol warmth, but finishes smooth, creamy, and fruity. Lots of intense hop bitterness, but finishes with a light tropical fruit cocktail sort of taste. Could have benefited from more balance with the malts perhaps.
M - Sticky, bitter, and yes, resinous mouthfeel. Smooth and light aftertaste, yet initially this beer is bitter and spicy.
Overall, a heavy-hitting, bitter, and intense imperial IPA from Sixpoint. Two of these tall skinny green cans will satisfy your hop fix and have you feeling pretty good too with a nice 9.10% abv. Probably a little too intense on the hops for my liking, but a decent DIPA, and one I am glad to have tried. Impressed with Sixpoint so far and can't wait to try more.

Packaging: 12 oz. skinny can
Purchased: 4-pack from Chuck's, Bowling Green KY
A: Hazy, dark copper colored-beer with a white head. I get a good amount of lace; the head dissipates pretty quickly.
S: Smells are a fabulous melding of fragrant floral and citrus hops plus rich, caramel maltiness. I could happily smell this all day long...
T: The taste has a sharp bitterness of the citrus/fruity hops, as in grapefruits, but also has the malty caramel flavors noted in the aroma.
M: Full-bodied, the beer finishes with the same themes of resinous (ha!) hops and malt undertones.
O: Bold DIPA with a great balance -- loved it!
