A - Semitransparent golden orange. Nice solid white head with great retention and dense foam. Lacing clings beautifully to the glass.

S - Orange citrus aroma

T - Orange and pine hops with a strong malt body. Nice heat from the alcohol.

M - Resinous as the name would suggest. Medium body with good carbonation

O - At first I was not very impressed, but as I drink this it grows on me. The malt base balances and gives body under the piney hops. I will definitely be coming back to this.

Best before 9/11/13, can poured into Spiegelau tulip glass.

Orange amber hue, a tad hazy, big creamy eggshell white head with great lacing and retention.

Smells of piney grassy hoppy goodness. Not very fruit-forward, but thats fine.

Taste is very bitter with pine-forward hops. Grassy and floral. A hint of alcohol esters on the back end. Dry finish. Malty heavyness but not sweet. A tad unbalanced in this regard. However I really do enjoy the hop presence here.

Creamy medium-to-full body is very good. Carbonation is a touch high. Dry finish.

Overall a great DIPA, certainly a go-to for me, when I'm in the mood for a piney bitter bomb at least. Nice that its in a can too. For the price, $10/4pack, it's pretty solid. Won't be the last time I enjoy.

A clear deep beer about copper in color Resin develops just more than a finger's height of yellow-tinted head. It's pretty rocky and rests on top of the beer for the entire session, slowly fading but never completely, leaving strong patching in its wake.
The aroma is out as soon as the crack is sounded. This is a hefty, strongly hopped beer, but with lots of malt sweetness balancing it out. Resin is right. There's pith, but not too harsh. Lots of pine and some floral bitterness is strong along with citrus ring. The caramel and breads from malts make for good depth.
Pine resin, orange zest, grapefruit rind, floral and leafy notes, all the hops bitterness is there. The malts are too, letting the hops run the show but keeping it even. There's even something like honey to it.
The feel makes this beer a pleasure to drink. It's smooth, but that comes off a hard biting crispness that's never lost. A chalky sort of dryness comes through but the sweetness keeps it from going too dry. The medium body, almost full, supports all the hefty structure. Carbonation keeps it even but lively all the way.

12 oz can poured into a tulip “Best before” date of October 12, 2013.

Resin pours a hazy golden color with a massive foamy, frothy head that leaves massive chunks of lacing behind. Tons of hop haze and sediment in the beer.

The beer's name is a good description of its aroma. Even for all the hoppiness there, there's still balance – there's some tropical fruit and citrus: mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and others. Definitely lots of pine needles/resin and maybe even some orange. There is some bready, caramel sweetness from the malt, but think of this as distilled hop goodness. As the beer warms, the sweetness ramps up as well as the alcohol.

Resin is devilishly smooth but incredibly complex. With lots of fruity hop flavors – orange, grapefruit, pineapple, mango – at the front of the palate, there is no mistaking the identity of this beer. Massive and bursting with hop flavors, it takes no prisoners. The hop flavors on the front move into a brief malty middle before a huge assault of pine, grapefruit, and spicy herbal flavors on the finish that linger long. A monster of an IIPA, but incredibly drinkable and balanced.

The mouthfeel is surprisingly creamy with crisp carbonation on the finish, which is long and bitter. The alcohol comes more in the form of warmth than actual flavor.

A very nice IIPA. This is definitely putting the lupulin resin on a pedestal, and it works well. Not super aggressive, but definitely strong.
