Poured a 12 oz. can into a pint glass at approximately 40-45 degrees.

Appearance - hazy orange/tangerine-ish color. Nice carbonation. Thick but light two finger white head. Decent retention with good lacing.

Smell - Piney with citrus notes. Maybe a hint of spice. Hard to discern.

Taste - Initially noted citrus flavors which quickly faded into a piney resin (I'm talking like chewing on a pine cone). On the backend, shifts back to more citrus/grapefruit with some bitterness and dare I say some astringency?

Mouthfeel - Surprisingly thick and creamy. Oily piney-ness lingers.

Overall - Intense, but fairly well balanced. It's a solid beer that's definitely worth trying. For me, not a sessionable beer, unless you're into drinking liquid pine trees. Yet, I still like it and will have it again. Next time, preferrably on tap.

Poured from 12 oz can into brewery labeled snifter. Served from beer fridge at approx 50 degrees.

A: Hazy orange, almost amber with a bit of head that nearly reaches the top of the snifter

S: For me this smells like an ideal IPA(imperial or otherwise). Very citrusy and a bit of pine. I will note that this is relatively fresh, canned 2 weeks ago.

T: Very smooth and fruity. A little bit of bitter comes through at the end but that's what is supposed to happen. Not harsh in the slightest bit.

M: I would say this is a little heavier than medium and would also argue that it has a thicker mouthfeel than most IPAs that I have been lucky enough to try.

O: A very well done beer from Sixpoint brewing. Admittedly I am not a huge fan of some of their other beer but this one is deserving of being tried by the most discerning of hopheads. Slim can is easy to find space for in the fridge also
