Sixpoint - Resin - 12fl oz can

Look - Interesting 12oz skinny can, never seen that before. The brew pours a hazy light copper with a full, soapy head. Lacing abound. Minimal carbonation.

Smell - Quite the aroma, hop/malt fusion with a bitter bite to the nose, the hops smell quite sweet.

Taste - Full flavored hop wave with some malt and a piney/resin finish. The dry hops keep the very sweet malts they used in check but allows some of the sweetness through. Well done!

Mouthfeel - Remarkably smooth and drinkable for the ABV and in general, this brew is worthy of an award.

Overall - Another one of Sixpoint's amazing brews!

From the nifty looking thin 12 fl. oz. can stamped: Best Before 07 Jun 2013. Sampled on February 23, 2013 so it is still in the recommended freshness range.

It pours a cloudy orange-copper with an outrageous 3 inch fluffy off-white head that settles some but generally sticks around.

The hop aromas are more laid back than I would expect from an Imperial Double IPA. But they are wonderfully earthy and floral with a citrus zing to boot.

The body is about medium with a slight astringency.

The 9% ABV is incredibly well integrated into the taste. It is not noticeable in the least. The hop bitterness is also mellower than I would expect and subtle. What I like about this beer is that it is drinkable but you don't realize how much alcohol you are putting away until the end.
