On tap at World of Beer - Naperville, IL
Brilliant but hazy golden-orange colored ale topped with a white head that leaves excellent lacing on the glass. Aromas are muted notes of citrus, faint toasted grain as it warms, but not much else. Tastes are much bolder with abundant floral hops, grassy, grapefruit, biscuity, toasted grain, ample bitterness, fresh, crisp finish. Mouth-feel is creamy, smooth, resiny on the finish while the bitterness lingers on the palate. Overall, solid IPA. Nice and fresh, crisp, and bitter - refreshing.

Happy to finally try a SP spice of life beer, but this one was overkill.
The beer poured a clear golden yellow with a fluffy white head that faded quickly. The smell was a disappointingly weak, citrusy bitterness. The taste was the opposite with intense, mouth-puckering bitterness and almost no sweetness to balance it out. When the beer was about room temp with 2oz left...it finally smelled/tasted like an IPA I wanted to drink. Maybe that was the alcohol talking.
Honestly, I'll probably refrain from getting this beer in the future unless i'm seriously hop jonesing.
